Roller-coaster Ride

I’ve looked at this life that I’ve had, all the good times and the bad 

All the smiles and the frowns, all the up times and the downs

All the people in my life, my family, friends, my kid, my wife

Who were once here but somehow, I wonder where they are now

I’ve looked at all the places I’ve been, all the wonders that I’ve seen

All the miles I have crossed, all the memories I have lost

How many times I’ve walked away, how many friends lost on that day

How many times I’ve reached the end, just to be at the beginning once again

My life’s a roller-coaster ride, with no one sitting by my side

The ones that joined from day to day, found other rides along the way

Which leaves me constant going round, all the ups and all the downs

While others’ lives they seem to mend, this ride for me will never end

And now I see you standing there, reaching out, your life to share

But I simply shake my head because I know how this will end

You will stay on ‘till you see, there’s something better out there for me

The roller-coaster starts again, because this ride for me will never end
