Prologue B

Malik Mansion 

Madhu, Sultan and Mohan walk in. Madhu looked ecstatic; Sultan nonchalant and their manager Mohan looked like he would faint any minute now. 

Malik and Padmini on seeing Mohan's expression 

Malik: "Is everything alrite?" 

Padmini: "Madhu, what did you do?" 

Madhu happily: "Mama, I found him." 

Padmini confused: "Found whom?" 

Madhu: "The one who is going to marry me." 

Malik and Padmini first shocked, and then start smiling. Malik picks up Madhu and make her sit on his lap. 

Malik: "Who is it, princess?" 

Madhu: "RK." 

Padmini shocked: "Mohan's RK?" 

Malik starts smiling, now that explained Mohan's condition. 

Madhu was about to nod, then stops and says: "He is now my RK. I am going to marry him." 

Malik and Padmini start laughing. 

Few days later, it was Sultan's birthday. Malik and Padmini organized a grand party for Sultan. RK was also invited.  

RK was sitting in one corner and watching everyone. He hated these parties and these show offs. He was really pissed as he didn't want to come, but his baba had forced him to come. Suddenly, Madhu comes there. 

Madhu smiles: "RK." 

RK simply looks at her. Madhu sits next to him. They both sat there in silence. 

After sometime, another girl about Madhu's age comes there.  

Madhu: "RK, this is my beeest friend Trishna." 

RK gives a courtesy glance wondering why these two were hanging around him, and hoping that Trishna had come to call Madhu away. But Trishna kept looking at him in curiosity. 

Finally, RK let his irritation show. 

RK: "Why are you looking at me like this?" 

Trishna: "Are you going to marry Madhu?" 

RK shocked out of his wits: "Hell NO!!" 

Trishna confused: "But Madhu said you are going to marry her." 

They both turn to look at Madhu. She was looking at RK and she looked hurt.  

RK: "Why did u tell her that I will marry you?" 

Madhu's eyes were filling with tears: "You said you were not a fool." 

RK having completely forgotten about their previous conversation: "And that means I will marry you?" 

Madhu: "But..." 

RK: "First grow up, and then talk about marriage." 

Madhu with tears streaming down ran away to her room. Trishna watches Madhu run away, and then turn to glare at RK, then with both hands, making a claw like shape with her fingers, she pinches him hard on both his cheeks, and RK couldn't help but scream out in pain. Then Trishna ran off. Whatever the little guilt RK was feeling for being rude to Madhu, was now all gone! 

Few minutes later, Malik and Mohan comes there with an angry Trishna. 

Trishna accusingly: "He told Madhu he won't marry her." 

Mohan: "Rishu, why did you have to tell her that?" 

RK: "Then, what should have I told her, that I will marry her?" 

Malik turns to Trishna: "Trishna, will you go see how Madhu is doing? She might need her best friend now." 

Trishna nods and with one last glare at RK, she walks off. Malik just shakes his head. Kids!  

Mohan: "You didn't have to break her heart." 

RK shocked: "Baba! So I should just marry her?" 

Malik trying to reason with him: "No RK, after you got her the balloons, you have become her hero but as time goes by she will forget all this. Till then, I am not asking you to entertain her, but I am just asking you, not to hurt her. RK, Madhu is just a baby." 

When RK doesn't say anything, Malik just sighs. 

Malik to Mohan: "I will go see Madhu, (shaking his head) I never thought I would have to deal with all this, at least not this early." 

Mohan: "I will also come." 

He glares at RK and walks off. 

Madhu was sitting on her mother's lap and crying, while Padmini tried consoling her and Trishna sat with her. 

Madhu: "Nobody wants me." 

Padmini almost in tears: "No baby, Mama had simply said that. You know everyone loves you." 

Madhu: "No one loves me." 

Malik hears this. 

Malik: "How can you say that, Princess?" 

Malik sits next to Padmini.  

Malik: "You know how much Papa loves u, how much Mama, bhaiyya, Mohan Uncle and ur beeest friend Trishna loves you right?" 

Trishna almost in tears: "I really love u, Madhu." 

Padmini: "Everyone loves you baby." 

Madhu sadly: "Then, why doesn't RK want to marry me?" 

RK: "Now, when did I say that I don't want to marry you?" 

That's when everyone noticed, RK standing at the door. 

RK walks in and kneels down in front of Madhu. 

RK smiles: "When did I say, I didn't want to marry you...huh?" 

Madhu confused: "Downstairs." 

RK: "Oh that! I was just trying not to give myself any hope that you would want to marry me." 

Madhu insists: "But I want to marry you." 

RK: "Now you want to marry, and I will wait for u all my life and then, when you grow up, you will decide you don't want to marry me. And I will be heart broken." 

Madhu smiles and with so much determination in her voice that send a chill down their parents spine, she vowed: "I will wait for you all my life, RK."
