Seagulls flew over the vast lagoon. The sunlight reflected off the various shades of green and blue. "This is about to be epic" Jonny said to the others as they made their way to their seats. 3 gigantic bleachers made of cement surrounded a quarter of the lagoon to view the magnificent monster the geneticists have created.
Gray sat in his seat in awe. They had a perfect view of the lagoon. "Hey I can see our hotel from here!" The boy pointed. "Yeah, can you imagine if that thing got through the net?" Jonny asked. "I wouldn't want to" Gray shook. "That snapper would eat you before you even had the chance" Jonny replied imitating a snapping mosasaur. Gray playfully shrieked. Jonny turned to look at an awfully quiet Zach. He fixed his hair as he typed a message on his cell phone. "Brooke" was the contact name. "I thought you were done with that skank" Jonny hissed. Zach could feel the jealousy in the air. This was the perfect opportunity to try and get a good reaction. To get the answer Zach has wanted for so long. "Hmm Jealous?" Zach teased. "Yeah whatever" Jonny frowned. "She's a foul, dirty bitch and no good for you." Zach had to hold back laughter. He was telling Brooke that he wasn't interested in her but seeing Jonny's jealous side was way more amusing.
"How are we doing folks!" The Trainer announced. She was waving on a platform. "The mosasaurus was thought to hunt near the surface of the water where it preyed on anything it could sink it's teeth into including turtles, large fish or even smaller mosasaurs." The trainer was operating a machine which held a shark on a line above the lagoon. "Okay folks let's see if she's still hungry after eating today." Gray didn't dare take his eyes off the lagoon. "Zach" nudged Jonny. "Get off your damn phone." He wasn't gonna let Zach miss one of the coolest exhibits in the park. "Look up damnit!" Jonny shouted. Zach lifted up his head just at the Mosasaur bursted out of the water. It's jaws were wide open as it snatched up the dangling Great White. With a loud groan it plunged back in the water, splashing the crowd. The boys embraced for impact. "Oh my god!!! That was awesome!!" Cheered Gray as he wrapped his arms around his older brother. Jonny was laughing along with them. "That was sick!". The crowd roared in cheers. "Hold tight, we're going to give you a closer look at our Mosasaur" the announcer said. She pressed a button and the entire colosseum lowered to be level with the big tank below. The long spiked creature reflected various shades of blues and greens as it swam below the surface. The blood from the shark made its way to the surface as the animal clenched it's jaws around it. "It has 88 teeth!" Gray shouted. Jonny chuckled along with him. "Wanna do something else cool?" Zach asked them. "Yeah!" Gray replied. Jonny flashed an irresistible smile at Zach. He was actually being interested and wanted to do something while on this trip.
The boys exited the crowded Mosasaur arena. Zach looked at a nearby map. "Alright follow me" he directed. "That was so freaking cool!!!" Gray cheered. "By far the coolest" Jonny replied. He was so happy Zach cheered up for his brother. As they walked Zach looked out past the lagoon. He had to admit, the aesthetic of this park was beautiful. The vibrant greens and deep blues and tropical themed buildings. He was starting to like it slowly, despite his Aunt not being there. As the older brother, he felt responsible to step up to the plate. They boarded the monorail. Zach let Gray occupy the window seat so he could see. Zach filled the aisle seat and Jonny took the aisle seat across. Zach's brain was turning. He thought if he would flirt a little with others he could get Jonny to admit he liked him. 2 girls sat behind him. His plan was falling into place. Jonny was looking out his window as the Monorail began moving. The train glided on the rail next to the mountain, looking down at the Gallimimus' running in packs around the tour truck. "How are you ladies?" Zach began. "Doing great! You?" The blonde replied. Jonny turned his head. He folded his arms and gave Zach a stink eye. "Ew" the teen muttered, lowering a brow. Zach looked at him for a moment. "Jealous?" He whispered. "Want my foot up your ass?" Jonny whispered back. Zach held back a laugh. That boy always had the quickest comebacks. Jonny had his tongue against his cheek as he watch Zach return to flirting. "Awesome! This is the place to be. Have you been here before?" He asked batting his eyes. "Yeah" She said. Gray turned to Zach with teary eyes. "If mom and dad get divorced will one of us be with mom and the other with dad?". Zach looked at him quickly. "What? Why would you say that?". "Cause they are" Gray spoke up. "No they're not"-. He was quickly cut off by Gray's sniffling. Jonny Shot a glance over at the Brothers. "No, They're Not getting divorced" Zach said firmly. He didn't want Gray to know the truth. If he did, the trip would be ruined.

"Look, you havent been around them long enough. They've always been that way".

"They're getting mail from 2 different lawyers"

"That doesn't mean anything"

"I googled it. They're divorce lawyers" the young boy admitted. A tear began rolling down his face

"Damn Gray and his fucking detective skills" Zach thought. "Alright, whatever. You know what? It doesn't matter, okay? I'm gonna be gone in 2 years anyways. All my friends parent's are divorced and-". Gray started crying more intensely. "Knock it off" He stammered at his little brother. Gray shook his head and more tears rolled off his face. Zach looked at Jonny for help. He batted his eyes. "Easy" he whispered to Zach. He decided to take another approach. "You're gonna cry? Look, you're gonna get 2 of everything. 2 birthdays, 2 thanksgivings, 2-". Grey wiped his eyes. "I don't want 2 of everything." Jonny's heart dropped. He felt horrible that they're gonna have to deal with this. "Well it's not up to you. There's a point where you have to grow up" Zach spat frustrated. He tried so hard to be a good brother and be fun. "Gray" Jonny began. The boy turned immediately. "It's gonna be okay, I promise. It might not even happen. People call off divorces all the time. If things don't go smoothly you'll have me by your side." Gray flashed a fragile smile. Zach looked at his bestfriend. "Thank you" He mouthed. Jonny nodded his head and went back to looking at the view of the moss covered mountainside.
