My name is Blair Jacobs.
But you knew that already.
I was just starting my senior year of high school when I met you.
But you knew that already, too.
You knew more about me than I ever thought you could have.
It turns out you had been watching me for months, studying me, like you wanted to figure me out. It didn't take long for you to choose me. You told me you decided after just one look.
The planning was the hard part.
You had to figure out when and where to grab me. I still don't know how you managed to do it in broad daylight, but you did. I don't know if that makes you smart or skilled or if just the fact that you were willing to even try makes you stupid.
But that doesn't matter.
What matters is that you were caught and you weren't smart enough to enter a plea so I sat through the trial. I wasn't able to speak. I couldn't even look at you, let alone take the stand.
My lawyer told my story.
Your lawyer told your story.
Nobody went deep enough into the details of what happened during those seven days.
Nobody went deep enough into our story.
So I guess the play-by-play is mine to tell.
