The Tree of Light Part 4

{BPOV}

I walking into the house quietly scared to make any noise that gave me away. To my surprise I wasn't the stealth one, my mom was. I flicker on the light and my heart jumps when I see my mom in the dark drinking wine at 8:30.

A: Where were you young lady and what is that jacket you have on. Crap I forgot to take off my jacket.

A: Are you in a gang Elizabeth Cooper, that's where you've been spending your free time and don't say at Veronica's because she has called over here multiple times wondering why you won't answer her calls.

B: Mom can we please talk about this in the morning, it's late and I've had a long day. That was actually truth because I've been having dreams since this morning. Giving me flashbacks about my dad and the mysterious boy from before. 

A: Fine but we are talking about this tomorrow. I head off to my room and slam the door behind me. Since my dads accident she has been drinking wine non-stop also she had been acting as the dictator of my life, and it gets annoying to the point where you wouldn't want to go back home. Her perfect reputation died with my father and I feel as if she blames that on me. But honestly I do too so I couldn't be upset about that. I lay my head on my pink pillows and feel my eyes growing heavier. Soon enough I was asleep. Little did I know it wouldn't be all princesses and rainbows.

*Betty's Dream*

I woke up dangling off a cliff and that same boy from my dream holding my hand. Who was he, and why was I always having a dream about him all of a sudden?

B: Help me. Please help me, don't let me fall. I didn't have a clue what was going on but I knew I didn't want to lose him and I could see that same feeling in his beautiful blue eyes. He was wearing a beanie. I gasped, just like the boy in my dream when I was younger. Was it him, but older.

Boy: Betty whatever you do just please don't let go. I held on to him tighter, listening to what he said,how did he know my name. But I was distracted when I heard my dads voice call out to me from below. I look down and I see a vast of darkness.

B: Dad? I whimper and lose concentration for one second. I felt my hand slip from the boys and I fell. My heart beat accelerated and before I hit the bottom I woke up panting really hard.

*End of dream*

A: Betty, Betty are you okay.

 I dig my head into my moms shoulder and started to cry hysterically.

B: I killed him mom, it was my fault. Every time I look into the mirror I see a waking reminder of why hes dead. If I wasn't in the car he would still be alive. My mom hugs me tighter and starts to cry herself.

A: No body could've known there was going to be a storm, or that he would look back and a tree would fly in front of him. 

B: A tree hit us?

A: Y..yes a tree hit us. Is that why you joined the Serpents, because you thought this was your fault? I look in the other direction to avoid eye contact.

A: We can talk about this later, okay i'll give you time if that's what you need. She got off my bed and headed to the door. I seen her glance my direction one more time the left. I lay back on my bed and wipe my tears.

B: Why is this happening to me. I say then get up to take a shower.

{The man in black POV}

Man in black:Did you find who the boy is.

Guard1: Yes but, we have a problem.

MIB: WHAT HAPPENED?

Guard2: They escaped and ran off and we don't know where. The guard says startled.

MIB: Well that means he must know about his ability's. Find him, because if I don't have that boys head on a stick, I will replace it with yours. Now any luck finding the girl.

Guard1: We have a reason to believe shes here in Riverdale. Shes the only one with an exact date and time the boy was injured, also they both woke up two months later so it has to be her.

MIB: What is her name?

Guard2: Betty. Betty Cooper, daughter of the widowed Alice Cooper, and the deceased husband Hal Cooper.

MIB: Send Agent 1920 in.

Guard1&2: Right away sir. They walk out the door and call over Agent 1920. The agent walks in and takes a seat.

MIB: Hello  Agent 1920.

Agent 1920: Yes daddy, and you know you don't have to keep calling me Agent 1920. I like my name just the way it is thank you.

MIB: Fine, Veronica I have a new assignment for you, and this one should be easy since your close with the subject.

V: Dad I said Archie is off limits.

MIB: No not Archie, Betty.

V: Betty, what would you want with Betty.

MIB: She is apart of something big and I need you to gather information from her.

V: Well she stopped speaking to me and Archie so that's kinda gonna be impossible to get information.

MIB: Then get closer to her, say you want to be her friend again mija. Knowing her she needs friends at the school, so she may be open to anybody. Especially an old one.

V: Okay.

MIB: Don't screw this up mija this is very important.

V: Why?

MIB: Just do your job and everything will be fine.

V: Whatever you say daddy. She gets up to leave but I stopped her.

MIB: Veronica, don't let your feeling cloud your judgement, she is very dangerous.

V: Yes daddy.
