'What the Hell happened to you three?' Jackson rose an eyebrow, glancing at the sodden trio, as they re-entered the smaller compartment. 'Were you attacked by the Rain God, or something?'

'There was a, uh... slight malfunction with the hose,' Ryn admitted.

Quentin laughed, before nudging her on the arm, whispering quietly, 'More like the one holding it.'

Ryn couldn't help but grin at that.

She could still feel her ears and cheeks burning from her moment of sporadic clumsiness. A multitude of questions still plagued her. She knew it had to have been her imagination but... if it wasn't.... would Colt have actually kissed her?

Would she have wanted him to?

She wasn't sure what to make of the giddy warmth that swelled within her stomach at the thought, so instead she shook her head clear, and returned her focus to the present.

'No offence, Ryn – I'm sure my presence was missed – but I'm glad I skipped out on that.' Darcy remarked, with a smug grin. 'By the way.... You're dripping on the floor,'

'It's my floor,' Colt countered, as they made their way over to the table, where everyone was crowded. 'Now, we hear you had something to show us?'

'Don't... drip on my computer,' he complained, shooing him back several steps. 'It's not aquatic...'

'Darcy, what is it?' Colt sighed, clearly exasperated by the man's antics.

'Do you guys remember the list of names I found the other day? Associated with Triple X?'

'Yeah?'

'Well, check this out.'

He brought up a file, scrolling down until he reached a short, double list.

'Anything sound familiar?'

Ryn narrowed her eyes, focusing in on the screen as she scanned through the collection of names.

At first glance, she only saw a list of complete strangers, but upon her second time through, her sensitive eyes picked out a single name in the left-hand column that wasn't a stranger in the slightest

'There, in the middle,' she gestured. 'Hector Wilson...'

'And the gold medal goes to the girl with the glass wings!' Darcy shot a finger gun in her direction.

'As in Mayor Hector Wilson?' Elliot frowned.

'He was involved with Triple X?' Kiley folded her arms across her chest. 'What... what does that mean?'

'Well, it means he might just know something about whatever accident made Mr Shiny-Entomologist-Man go all psycho on the city.'

'But...,' the young woman continued, looking ill at ease. 'In a good way or... a bad way?'
