A/N: I honestly don't really remember where I was going with this, but...

This chapter is dedicated to IMAPOLLOSFAVORITE
Happy Birthday! (Although probably a day late by the time you see this, I'm sorry! It's still the 28th here though. T-T)
———

Luke ran through the halls in pursuit of Percy, desperate to reach him before anyone else could get to him. He hated the idea of Percy getting hurt.

In his rush, he briefly alerted a nearby guard of the runaway Prince, before dashing off again. Unable to find Percy anywhere in the nearby hallways and rooms, he decided to try the garden. After all, he couldn't have gotten too far yet.

———

Percy sat in the tree, knees pulled up against his chest as he sobbed, nose dripping with snot. He glanced down, eyes red and bleary, to see if anyone was around. Seeing no one, he sighed and nuzzled his head against his thighs.

He hated being in this country, in this palace, with these people. He hated this life he lived. Being labeled as "strange," "weird," and "not normal." He wanted to go out and adventure. He wanted to start over in a place where no one would no who he is. He wanted to reinvent himself. This kind of life just didn't. suit. him!

*crunch*

Percy startled at the sound, flinching backwards, causing him to scratch himself against the tree bark. Slowly, he raised his head and glanced down. There, staring up at him, was Luke, arms crossed in an angry posture, but eyes filled with a great amount of concern.

"Percy...?" Luke called out.

Percy frowned and turned his head away, refusing to answer.

"Listen," Luke began, "You didn't let me finish. I didn't mean it in a bad way when I said you aren't normal-"

Percy's eyebrows furrowed and a sound similar to a growl escaped his throat.

Luke arched an eyebrow at the sound, but continued.

"I'm not normal either. I know a lot of people who aren't normal in the same way you and I aren't normal."

Not normal 'in the same way'? If these people weren't normal the same way he wasn't normal, doesn't that mean he's actually normal?

"I want to meet them," he whispered, his voice raspy from crying.

Luke smiled, "They want to meet you too."

Short, but this feels like a good place to end it. ^-^
I'll try to update this again before I move.
In some *other* news... by some lucky chance I was able to snatch a Single room at my university dorm!! That means that I'll have more alone time. More alone time = more updates.

If anyone else has a birthday request, let me know on my profile!
