As a potential mentee here is what you need to know before entering the contest:
➵ POTENTIAL MENTEES SHOULD BE FOLLOWING THIS PAGE; THE SELECTED MENTEES WILL BE EXPECTED TO FOLLOW THEIR MENTOR (if they're not already)
➵ THE SUBMITTED MANUSCRIPT MUST BE COMPLETED
➵ THE MANUSCRIPT MUST BE IN ENGLISH
➵ THE MANUSCRIPT MUST BE BETWEEN 50K – 100K (if slightly above or below this word count please reach out via message here or with actual word count for the final decision) POETRY, FANFICTION, AND CHILDREN'S LIT ARE NOT BEING ACCEPTED AT THIS TIME (Middle Grade may be acceptable depending on mentor wish list)
➵ THE MANUSCRIPT MUST BE YOUR OWN
➵ THE MANUSCRIPT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE CURRENTLY AVAILABLE ON WATTPAD (if it is not uploaded to wattpad please note that you will be asked to upload it for the final showcase).
➵ ONLY ONE MANUSCRIPT MAY BE SUBMITTED PER MENTEE
➵ POTENTIAL MENTEES MAY ONLY SUBMIT TO ONE MENTOR (so choose wisely because each mentor only has 25 open slots for submissions). *note: allowing your manuscript to be given to other mentors if they are interested in it is usually an option on submission form.
➵ TO BE CONSIDERED, YOU MUST SUBMIT A SYNOPSIS OF YOUR COMPLETED MANUSCRIPT AND YOUR FIRST TEN PAGES TO WattPairs@hotmail.com BETWEEN OCTOBER 25th AND OCTOBER 27th. SUBMISSIONS LACKING ONE OR THE OTHER WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. (There will be an active form during the submission window which will be located in the about me portion of this profile you will be expected to fill out upon submission. This is so that we can keep track of all submissions and let you know if the submission was indeed received).
➵ POTENTIAL MENTEES SHOULD BE WILLING TO COMMIT TO THE TIME FRAME OF THE TWELVE WEEK MENTORSHIP (barring any family, work/school, or health issues that may arise). ANY EARLY RESIGNATION FROM THE PROGRAM MUST BE APPROVED BY TeaNHeartache
