On My Way!

Lauren's POV

"Really Dani, i was just on the phone with Y/N and you ruined it" i say walking into Dani's room

"sorry sugar but i need help with this harmony, i don't know what to do" she said pointing to her computer screen.

I help Dani with the harmonies for about an hour.

"Thank you sugar, also I'm sorry about interrupting you and Y/N's call" she said standing up and giving me a hug

"it ok Dani, i'll just text her tomorrow" we release from the hug and i head back to my room to get ready for bed.

I throw on a pair of shorts and an oversized sweatshirt and then i went to the bathroom to bush my teeth.

I plopped down in my bed and check my phone. I see i have a text from Y/N so i open it

Y/N: Hey i meant to say goodnight to you over the phone but you had to go so I'm saying it right now. If i don't respond thats because i fell asleep but i will text you in the morning. Night Laur❤️.

my eyes immediately see the heart she put at the end of the text. My heart skipped an beat and i felt my cheeks burn red.

With that i set my phone down and fall asleep with Y/N on my mind.

Y/N's POV

I woke up at 5:00 this morning to pack the rest of my stuff so i could get to my apartment and unpack a little bit before i went to go see Lauren and the rest of her sisters.

I walked downstairs and saw no one was awake so i made myself some coffee and some avocado toast.

i ate and went back up to my room and grabbed my phone to text Lisa..

Me: Hey, I'll get to my new apartment around 1 so once I'm almost there i'll text you the address.

I sent the text knowing Lisa would still be asleep.

I hear my door crack open and sent my phone down and look to see River

"hey can i come in?"

"ya of course, come in"

He came in and closed the door and sat on my bed

"so you ready for collage?" he asked

"ya I'm actually pretty excited, I'm gonna major in Music so I'm gonna have fun" i saw as i walk to my bathroom to brush my teeth

"that sounds awesome Y/N I'm happy for you. Im sure you're more excited to be closer to Lauren though huh" he said leaning on the doorframe of my bathroom

"oh shut up" i said letting out a little laugh and rolling my eyes as i shoulder checked him laving the bathroom

"im gonna take that as a yes then" he said smirking

"ok maybe a little bit" i said looking up and giving him a little smile and we both laugh.

"ok i'll let you get ready" he said opening the door

"wait you get ready too i wanna go to breakfast with you, mom and dad"

"ok sounds good" he said before closing my door

I throw on some khaki pants and a white shirt with my red and white checkered vans.

I head downstairs and see mom, dad, and River all waiting to go

"took you long enough sweetheart" my dad said getting off the couch to hug me

"sorry i was trying to look perfect" I said sarcastically and we all laughed

we all head out to the car and start driving to the restaurant.

while we were on the way i heard my phone ping and see its from Lisa..

Lisa🤪: Ok i will be there, is there a certain way you want to surprise Lauren?

Me: i was thinking of something but idk

Lisa🤪: what is it?

Me: well the first place we "talked" to each other was at a restaurant so i was thinking i could go to that restaurant and then you and her go to the same restaurant and i walk by here again and say hi just like she did

Lisa🤪: OMG you have to do that, she would freak

Me: you think she will like it?

Lisa🤪: she won't just like it she will absolutely LOVE it

Me: ok while we are at my apartment then we can go over the plan

Lisa🤪: sounds good Y/N/N

I put my phone away and we pull up to the restaurant. We walk in and it wasn't very busy yet so we got seated as soon as we walked in. We all talked and laughed the entire time, I'm gonna miss this but I'm gonna come visit them and they can come see me so it will all be ok.

After breakfast we get back home and River and my dad help me with the last few boxes and then it was time to say goodbye

I first say goodbye to my mom

"bye mom" i say with my eyes filling with tears

"dont cry sweetie, we'll come see you and you can come see us, everything will be ok" she said as we hugged

Next is my dad

"bye dad, I'm gonna miss you" i say as he pulled me into a hug

"im gonna miss you too girly but just like your mom said we are gonna come visit you" he said pulling away an wiping a tear off my face and smiled. I smiled back and then it was time to say bye to River. He already was crying so i pulled him into a huge hug

"i d-dont want y-you to g-go" he says as he grips onto my shirt even more

"i don't want to go either but i'll call you as much as i can and i'll text you and I'm gonna come see you ok" i say pulling away, putting a hand on his shoulder and smiling at him

He tries to smile but the tears in his eyes won't let him. River looks down at the ground and i pull him into one last hug

"I love you buddy"

"I-I love y-you too" he says as he wipes his tears

i give both of my parents one last hug

"i love you guys" i say waving before leaving the door

I walk out the door and hop into my truck and start it, before i leave the driveway i see River in his bedroom window watching me leave, i wave goodbye at him and drive off.

Im about 30 minuets away from my apartment so i text Lisa the address

Me: on my way!

Lisa🤪: see you in a bit!!

I put my phone back down and continue driving to my new apartment.

I can't wait till later tonight!
