Can You Stand the Rain?

"I'm fine...I'm fine. The lightning isn't gonna kill me. I'm fine." You tried to convince yourself as you walked to Camerons house.

There was about to be a huge storm in your neighborhood. You were afraid of storms and lightning from personal experience, So Cameron, your best friend, called you over to be with him while everything was happening.

After about 2 more minutes of walking and talking, you were finally outside of Cameron's house.

When you went to knock on the door, it opened for you. You looked up to see Karan with a bright smile.

"Hey Y/n!"

"Hey Karan."

"Come on in."

You walked inside and took your shoes off at the door, not wanting to track mud throughout the house.

"Cameron is in his room."

"Ok, thanks!"

You quickly ran up to Cameron's room, which had to be a mistake because his dominant hand was in his pants.

"Cameron are you jacking off?!"

"Oh hey Y/n! My hand is just on my thigh, I'm not doing anything. Come in."

You walked into his room and closed the door behind you.

"How are you?" He asks.

"Terrified. How are you?"

"I'm great."

"Your best friend is terrified and your doing great? Wow. how rude!"

"I'm playing! You know im scared when your scared. Come here girl."

Cameron pulls you into a hug. You smile to yourself, taking in his scent. Thankfully, he doesn't notice.

"Do you want to listen to music?" He asks while letting you go. You sigh at loss of contact but quickly regain composure.

"Yeah!" You reply, taking the remote from his hand.

You start smiling hard as you type in the words. 'Can you stand the rain?' By new edition.

You look over to Cameron to see him already smiling. This is one of your favorite songs to sing together!

As if on que, the storm starts when the song starts.
