DEDICATED TO AN AWESOME DEVOTED PERSON, thanks for all encouragement and help :)
I haven't uploaded in AGES and I'm so so sorry, I'm one of those people who put off assignments for ages, and they all blew up in my face at once. Good news: No more assignments! And 1 week till holidays, which means loads and loads of writing! Short chapter, because I wanted to upload SOMETHING, cause it's been so long. But the next chapter will be VERY interesting (wink wink)
“What do you want to do first?” I asked him. His eyes lit up as he looked around at all the rides and food.
“Let’s go on this one!” he grabbed my arm and pulled me over to a rollercoaster with a huge queue labeled in big scary letters, “Thunderbolt.”
“Er,” I said nervously, “Did I mention I have a fear of fast rides? How about the little rollercoaster I was talking about?”
“Nah.” With that, he pulled me into the very short VIP lane, which was for customers with the expensive VIP passes, a.k.a us. The ride was very dark, but that was probably because my eyes were shut so tightly I was seeing stars.
“That was so much fun! Come on Millie! Again again again!”
I smiled. I don’t think I’ve seen him this excited before, he was like a 5 year old on Christmas morning.
“You go on, I’ll wait here.”
“Come on Millie,” he tried to persuade me, but I shook my head and went over to a picnic table.
“I’ll be waiting here,” I told him.
He was gone for at least 15 minutes, and I started to worry. I had no idea how to get home, and I wanted to look for him, but I didn’t want to leave the meeting spot. What if something happened? How would I get home? What if –
Just then, I saw a mop of spikey dark hair, glinting in the sunlight, bobbing up and down in the crowd. If his hair had a face, it would be smirking too.
“Finally, what took you so -” I stopped. His face held a huge grin, while his arms held a bright pink bunny rabbit with an equally big smile and plastic eyes.
“I hate it.”
“What, is it supposed to be like in the movies or something, where the couple go on a cheesy carnival date, and you win me some stupid stuffed animal, and then we go make out near some sunset somewhere?”
“Yea, a little,” he said, looking put out.
A little girl walked past, looking at the rabbit with big eyes.
“Hey,” I said to her.
“Do you mind?” I asked Aaron quietly. He shook his head, and I handed over the bubblegum pink rabbit. The smile on her face was priceless: Bigger than Aaron and the rabbit’s put together.
“No rides for a bit,” I told him. “I’ve got a headache.”
So we walked slowly around, and I stopped when I saw a two person competition duck shooting range.
“Hey, let’s play,” Aaron said excitedly.
“Ok, but I’m not very good.”
He went first, and he got 9 out of 10 – and extremely high score. The guy who worked the stall was baffled – it was probably rigged so people just won small prizes.
I went after that, and to my, and Aaron’s surprise, I got 10/10. The most shocked, however, was the stall guy. He scowled at me and reluctantly said, “You can choose from the prizes.”
I looked at them:a new Wii, New iPod Touch, or bubble gum pink rabbit. Guess which one I chose?
“Can I have the rabbit?”I asked him. His scowl disappeared and he hurriedly handed over the cheap prize, saying, “No returns.”
“What about my prize?” Aaron asked.
The guy pointed to another selection: A Call of Duty Xbox game, a HUGE stuffed giraffe, and a giant blow up beach ball. I remembered telling him that I liked giraffes…
“I’ll have the COD game,” he said, and took it.
“I was going to give you the rabbit, but you’re being selfish.”
“But how? I already won you a rabbit! That makes us even!”
“Yea well, my rabbit was cuter,” I shot back.
“Well I’m cuter. Listen, I need to go back to the car to drop off this stuff – you buy us lunch. Look at those lines.”
Unfortunatley, there was no VIP line for food, and he was right, the lines were long. I sighed and stood behind the very last person, a depressingly long way away from the stall.
“See you,” he said.
I groaned as the line slowly inched forward – people take too long to choose their food!
“Don’t you just hate it when people get to the front of a really long line, and still can’t decide what they want?”
I looked up to see who said that, only to see that a gorgeous guy with electric blue eyes and jet black hair was addressing me, grinning.
“I know, right?”
I made idle conversation with him, full of flirting. I hadn’t flirted in ages – things with Parker and Aaron are fun, but flirting is so awesome when you barely know the person!
“I’m Millie,” I introduced myself.
“I’m William, but you can call me Will. Some people call me Moby Dick. Just don’t call me Willy.”
I found myself laughing, not the first time in this conversation. This guy was hilarious.
I turned around, surprised, and realized I was near the front of the line. And I had no idea what I wanted. Will was waiting for his order, and the cashier was impatient, as were the people behind me.
“Uh… same as him,” I stammered, and went to stand next to Will, who reminded me a lot of Aaron when he smirked.
“Wow, you must be hungry.” He said. “I don’t meet a lot of girls who ask for a corn dog, large fries, large coke, a sundae, and a cheeseburger.”
Oh my god…
“Truth is, I got to the front of the line… and… I hope you forgive me…but I accidentally forgot to think about what food I wanted.” I said, and he laughed.
“I’ll forgive you, just this once,” he said smiling. It was at this moment, when we were smiling at each other, that Aaron showed up.
“Who’s this?” he asked, confused. His hair was messy, he looked so cute and innocent when he was confused! I turned to look at Will, who’s electric eyes sparked liveliness back at my plain brown ones.
I thought getting a lot of cute guys was good… maybe I was wrong?
So what do you guys think of William? I'm not giving anything away... but please comment, I REALLY want to know what you think about him, and what you think about the story! Can I ask for 5 comments? I'm still going to upload, even if I don't get 5, but I really want to know your opinions.
I can't promise anything, but next chapter is real soon!
