Ch. Fourteen

~2 Week Time Skip~

Keomi had slowly been recovering from her ordeal of her father being in the hospital for about a week in the hospital, she was being her usual self again but she still wasn't in the best of moods because of the whole thing. That same time last week they saw that their second home room teacher was Kirishima, to many's guesses, than they had mentioned something about a field trip which got Keomi's attention,

"A field trip?!"

"Where we going?"

"I hope it's somewhere cool!" Voices rang out, much to Keomi's displeasure.

Kirishima laughed a bit as he put his hands up to motion for others to quiet down,

"Yeah! We're going to the USJ and before anyone gets to excited, it's the Unforseen Simulation Joint!" He explained.

"Some kids from 1-B will be joining us along the way, also. They had a permission slip signed and brought it back." Bakugou explained.

Keomi wasn't all there so she didn't question it that much, her mind was still in her worry stage but she turned as she felt a light punch to her arm, seeing Zenaku smirking at the girl,

"C'mon, Kat, it'll be good to get your head out of your sad sackness for a while. This should be a pretty fun trip to go on and I know that it'll be a good experience for us to go on." He states.

Keomi nodded and smiled a bit but it still wasn't very genuine, through out her time of being sad, it was mostly her four best friends who helped get her out of her little funk. Zen noticed this and smiled at her reassuringly,

"Trust me, okay?" He asked softly.

Keomi nodded than looked up as she heard Kirishima clap his hands,

"Alright everyone, go get changed into your hero costumes and we'll be on our way!" He beamed.

Keomi stood and still had a somber look on her face as she went to go change into her hero costume. As she walked she felt arms around her torso, she looked back and saw Ayumu,

"Keomi, how are you holding up?" He asked in his usual calm tone.

Keomi sighed softly and mustered up a small smile,

"I'm alright... hey, whose your second home room teacher?" She asked, trying to get her mind off the subject.

Ayumu chuckled a bit,

"We happened to have gotten Ochaco-sensei." He states, Keomi snickering,

"Oooh, that must be a fun combination with Todoroki." She says sarcastically.

Ayumu chuckled and nodded,

"Oh yes, very, but it's an enjoyable one." He states,

"C'mon you two, get a move on!" Bakugou exclaimed as he saw the two standing there.

Both nodded and Ayumu let go of Keomi, both walking off as they went to go change into their hero costumes. After a while Keomi finished than she looked herself in the mirror than her eyes had widened a bit as she heard voices, seeming to be pulled into a memory that made the girl's eyes water a bit at this. The other girl classmates noticed this and got Ochaco, who was going while Todoroki stayed behind with the other students, to ask for their help with Keomi since she wasn't responding to them.

Keomi clenched her fist a bit as her eyes narrowed and she was in clear emotional pain, but the simply grip on her shoulder broke her free from her horrible plauged nightmare and her head turned to see Ochaco. The female had a look of terror on her and this made the pro hero slightly worried,

"Is everything alright, hun? You froze on us for a moment there." She states softly.

Keomi quickly wipped her tears away and nodded, having a neutral look on her face,

"Yeah, I'm fine." She states, forcing a faint smile that made the pro back off and lead her off to the others,

"Wow, look at her costume!" A boy with white hair exclaimed a bit and pointed towards Keomi.

Keomi pulled her hood up than smiled a bit,

"Uhm, thanks." She states softly,

"I'm Makato! What's your name?" He asked as he made his way over, offering his hand to the other.

Keomi looked at his hand than back up at Makato, he gently taking his hand,

"Keomi, nice to meet you, Makato." She says,

"I rather like your costume too." She states as she examined the costume.

His costume looked much like the assassins off of Assassin's Creed which was intresting but it was mostly black with red and gold accents. He smiled at her,

"Thank you!" He beamed,

Keomi smiled softly than turned as she heard her name being called, she saw her best friends there,

"Hummingbird! Are you feeling alright?! Are you feeling better?! Ochaco-Sensei said you had kind of a break down to Kirishima-Sensei and Bakugou-Sensei!" Ryuu whined,

"Yes, we are quiet worried about you. Are you one hundred percent sure you're doing alright?" Osamu asked with a small frown.

Keomi smiled softly and nodded,

"Yeah, I'm alright." She states than heard a whistle.

Everyone turned to see the three teachers standing by a bus that just pulled up, everyone crowding over but Keomi made sure to lay back behind everyone,

"Okay everyone, time to get onto the bus!" Kirishima exclaimed and everyone began their journey onto the bus.

Keomi stayed behind everyone again than felt a hand on her shoulder, she looked up to see Bakugou there,

"'Oi, Keomi, you feeling alright there? Uraraka said something about you having a mental break down." He asked than Kirishima went over,

"You don't have to go if you don't want to, we'll talk to All Might to see if you can make it up!" He beamed, trying to reassure the girl.

Suddenly her chest tightened and she put a hand on it, something was warning her... something was going to happen, and it was bad. She quickly shook her head and smiled,

"No, I wanna go. I'm okay." She quickly stated than made her way onto the bus.

The teachers followed behind her and she saw Zenaku saving her a seat next to him, she sat next to him and smiled softly,

"Thanks, Zen." She says, chuckling at the quick hair ruffle,

"No problem, Katniss." He says.

He was hiding his guilt as best as he could, he pulled his hand away than looked out the window... if anyone got serverly hurt it was going to be blood on his hands, because it was him that informed his father and Shigaraki about the field trip. He just hoped that nothing happened to Keomi.. why?

He didn't know why, but... something in him just told him to protect her at all costs, even if it meant him getting punished by his father and the other villains. He just wanted her safe.
