The Battle of SGA started when Mongollon hurled a boulder at the group of female SGA students below, scattering them like ants for a second.

They didn't like that.

The leaders for the girls went after him like a pack of wolves, calculating and feeding off of one another. The leader of House Orifiel grew a vine whip from her hand and wrapped it around the ugly giant's legs, tripping his steps. The leader of House Raphael managed the winds to help blow him to the ground. The leader of House Raguel was churning up the earth and strapping the monster in. The leader of House Anael was freezing Mongollon's arms and legs to the floor. The leader of House Gabriel formed a portal that Rilee leaped through and reemerged from the clouds above with her sword stabbing downward, making her look like she was going to strike the heart of the Earth.

The sword sliced right through Mongollon's chest and plowed right through to his heart. Green blood gushed from his lips and chest.

Rilee smirked and withdrew her sword from the monster's hairy chest. "Over here, we don't play with our food."

The boys stood with their jaws dropped. They took down a Level 4 Iumenti like it was a baby ass. Tejero managed to clear his throat and get the boys to move onto the pitiful Level 3 Iumenti. The Ozark slashed at the lead boy from Anael, but he formed a shield of ice on his arm and deflected the blow with splinters of ice shattering everywhere, some catching onto the fur of the Ozark. Tejero shot a couple of sonic arrows at the bear and it pushed it back far enough for the leader of House Orifiel to hack a sizzling phlegm that shot towards the Ozark like a bullet and coated the shaggy fur, corroding it as if his saliva was made of acid. No one will be expecting kisses from that guy.

But the boys didn't have as much coordination as the girls, either because one of them was a traitor, or they didn't have representatives from major houses like Uriel or Michael to take a commanding lead.

The Ozark Howler did what its namesake said. It howled and its high pitch noise screeched like a searing whistle and disoriented everyone.

Rilee took her hands away from her ears after the Howler stopped. She pointed her sword at the beast. "Girls, looks like the boys need some help."

While the girls went to assist the boys in ending the Ozark Howler, the Deans were working a combination of a wind storm that rained icy hail on the Shunka Warakin, jabbing its wilted grass fur with a hundred shards of sharp hail—the needle hail. Dean Ammon was feeding Dean Kay's gust of wind with shards of ice that she whipped at the dog menacingly like a student she'd wanted to discipline all year. Soon, the dog fell and dissolved to dust. Hey, he was only a Level 2.

Speaking of Levels, Mongollon went down pretty quickly for what should be classified as a Level 4 Iumenti. Those who are capable of speaking and having rational thought tended to be classified at a high level—then again humans are on top of the food chain and for sure not all of them are pretty bright superstars either.

But while the possessed dog's body faded to dust and seeped into the Earth, Mongollon's body just stood there and slowly faded like a movie transition. Eventually his body disappeared.

And his laugh tore through the Rockies. "Spicy girls! I love my food with a bit of a kick!"

Reappearing behind the group of girls was Mongollon, fading back into existence and decking the group with his meaty fist that rammed through like the force of a plane. Most of the girls got out of the way, but the leader of House Anael tried to summon a shield of ice to protect herself, but it shattered like glass and she received a good taste of Mongollon's strength as he sent her flying towards the cliffs, decommissioning her for the rest of the fight.

Dean Kay saw this happen and flew over to her and started healing her with her hands that glowed pink. "Concussion, broken ribs, collapsed lung, my oh my you're in a heap of a lumber-lump."

Don't ask what a lumber-lump is—probably just wood in the shape of a pimple.

Luke saw this happening as he chased down Jurgen. He was worried about the girl from House Anael. That hit didn't look like something one came back from the way she went in—she'll probably need some fruit from the tree of knowledge to help her brain to recover from such a wreck.

But Dean Kay had hundreds of years of medical knowledge stored in the library of her brain. They say there isn't an injury she couldn't cure if caught in the right amount of time.

Meanwhile, the students were battling the Chtonia, keeping them a good distance with bows and spears, rocks and ice, and whatever else they had at their disposal. Girls fought alongside boys, back to back in some cases, working seemingly as a single unit. Sirius was commanding demons to vacate the bodies of the hosts they corrupted. Some resisted stronger than others. They would try and strike Sirius, but a simple jab with Absorber and that sucked the demon right out of them. Alpha was also doing his part as he rammed right into possessed students and literally pushed the demons out of their bodies.

But not all the students were able to keep their distance. Eventually a demon would pop up from the ground and latch onto the leg of an unsuspecting fighter and boom he or she was possessed. For every person Sirius and Alpha freed from a demon, two more would find themselves possessed. Once possessed, it made fighting them much harder. This wasn't combat training. A possessed student was coming with the intent to kill, but Sirius and the others had to find a way to defend themselves without harming the person the demon occupied. It was like fighting with one hand tied around your back.

The Chtonia also knew that if they simply came at Sirius and Alpha in numbers, they would overwhelm them enough to allow the rest of the demons enough time to possess more students. Sirius was having trouble commanding demons out when there were just so many around him. What started as ten students being possessed quickly doubled, even as Alpha and Sirius combined sent multiple demons away who simply recovered themselves and leaped at a nearby body.

Meanwhile, Jurgen had ran to the front gates of SGA, seeking to flee the school. Such a coward, Luke thought.

Yet the closed gates had guards training their weapons on the both of them—crossbows and rifles. Since the gate was made out of metal, Jurgen tore it apart with his will and sent the walkways atop toppling down with the soldiers shooting wildly into the air as they scrambled to grab a hold onto the edge of the platform that hadn't been wrecked.

Once the gate was scrapped, all that was left was an electric field that acted as an added security measure.

Luke knew what Jurgen's plan was. Aeria demons roamed the air of these Rocky Mountains. If he could break down the barrier that kept them out of the school, who knows how many more demons could flock inside and possess more SGA students and overwhelm the school.

Luke was tired of chasing him. He formed an electric whip and cracked it at Jurgen, tying it around his legs and sending him landing face first into the ground.

But Jurgen caught himself and sent sliding disks of stone flying at Luke at unbelievable speeds. He quickly flicked his whip and cracked the stones into powder, and that allowed Jurgen to get free. However, the previous electric surge slowed him down as he limped towards the exit.

"Stop running you coward!" Luke shouted in frustration.

Surprisingly it got Jurgen to stop in his tracks. He turned around and the look in his eyes showed two emotions.

Regret, and pure rage.

"Don't call me that!" And rising from the earth was a giant hand made of iron metal. Luke knew his lightning wouldn't snap that in half. The hand made a fist the size of a minivan and was speeding towards Luke.

Luke wanted to jump out of the way, but his feet wouldn't move. They were locked into the ground by boots made of stone. Jurgen had anchored him into the ground.

Luke thought this was the end. Maybe he should've kept his mouth shut.

He closed his eyes and waited for the pain to wash over him.
