"What?"
She rolled her eyes with a smirk.
"Why did you choose Chat Noir as your costume? Everyone has answered."
I shrugged, turning to face the camera.
"He's pretty cool and has somewhat good puns. Also, who doesn't want to work with Ladybug? My second choice would have been Viperion though, his costume and harp are sick!"
I turned back to the guys, ignoring the obvious smirks on their faces.
Alya just finished her blog post and put her phone in her small ladybug purse when we reached the concert. By the time we had reached the line to the entrance, our group was ecstatic. The outside of the concert hall was packed even when we got there two hours early. This didn't surprise me though, we have a huge fan base that has grown tremendously in the past year.
I felt my phone vibrate in my back pocket suddenly with a call, so I pulled it out. I stepped out of the line to take the call with a bit more privacy. I pressed the green button and held it to my ear.
"Yo, where are you at?"
"I'm in line right now, and you're making me look mad suspicious with this call."
I couldn't help the grin that spread across my face upon I hearing Trevor's voice. There was rustling in the background before I could hear Caleb squawking at the makeup and hair team.
"Can you hurry up so the team has someone else to fuss over? Hey, would you st-"
"You should hurry up before Caleb attacks one of these people."
"Ya let me just magically teleport to the front of the line."
I looked back at the group in line, they were all chatting over the roar of the crowd. I smiled softly at them and locked eyes with Juleka. She raised an eyebrow questioningly, I gave her a thumbs up.
"Honestly just skip the line, no one will notice."
"My entire friend group is here, they would be looking for me all night."
"Is the blonde guy you posted there?"
The question was sudden and somewhat out of the blue. There was an edge to his tone, I glanced over at the blonde who was currently talking to Nino and Ivan.
"Adrien? Ya."
"Hmm, I gotta go ditch your nerdy friends soon, yeah?"
I rolled my eyes and bit back.
"Stop being judgy, see ya soon."
I hung up the phone and walked back over to the group, the line had moved quite a bit and we were almost to the checkpoint. While my stress was obvious to some of the group, I was keeping a handle on hiding my excitement about seeing the guys. It's been two months since we last saw each other altogether. Jake and Trevor met up over the fall, but Caleb and I couldn't make it.
Even leading up to the concert during our rehearsals I didn't see the group because it was a risk to have the whole group together in case the media ever caught wind. Two days before the concert we had our usual dress rehearsal. It was just a review because we learned all of our new choreography over the summer.
The real struggle would come when I had to quickly change into my performance costume and then back after the show. Plus I haven't even begun to register that I have to slip away from the group sometime during the opener so I could be ready and on stage in time. Then I would have to come up with an excuse for why I was gone so long.
My head was swimming until Rose brought me out by nudging me.
"Who called you?"
"My friends from the US."
