I fumed while walking to school. I was absolutely pissed. How could they keep something like this from me? Its my life!! Eventually, I got onto school property. As soon as I walked in, my best friend, Sara, came over and greeted me.
"Hey Stacey!" Sara ran over and gave me a hug.
"Hi." She saw my face and she looked worried.
"Whats wrong Stace?"
"Nothing." I said while walking towards my locker.
Stacey rolled her eyes. "Obviously somethings wrong. You've been nothing but happy since your 16th birthday has been getting closer."
"Nothings wrong!"I whisper-yelled.
Stacey looked suprised. I knew why. I never yelled, I was the most happy, upbeat person you could ever meet.
"Come on, lets go to the bathroom."
When we got into the bathroom, Sara made sure no one was being nosy.
"Ok spill."Sara said.
"You what?!" Sara yelled. She wasn't a patient person.
"Ok...this morning, I knew something was up because my mom cooked-"
"Your mom cooked?!"
"Exactly what I thought and so anyway I was rushing to get all my stuff for school when I saw this letter with my name on it andI'm--"
Before I could say anything, I burst into tears. Sara tried to calm me down but it wasn't working. I was hysterical. Make-up was running down my face, myy hair was messing up.
"Come on Stace whatever it is can't be that bad--"
"IM ADOPTED!!" I blurted out.
