"Please come to the station!" Draco begs.
Tomorrow is the day we go back to Hogwarts, and he has been trying to convince me to go to the train station to see him off for a week.
"I can't."
"You keep saying that, but you won't explain why."
"That's because any explanation I would give you would be a lie." I tell him, trying to get my point across.
"Oh. Did something happen? Are you in danger? You know Mum would love to have you stay with her while we're at school."
"I know, but I actually have something set up for while you're at school. I promise I will be alright. I will call every night, if you keep your mobile on vibrate, you can talk to me during the day as well. Just don't let my dad catch you in his class. Don't be surprised if there are times I don't pick up for a while, don't panic. I'll get ahold of you as soon as I can."
"I don't like this."
"I know, but Dad, Remus and I have been planning his for a while. I promise I will be safe."
"Alright, but if I don't get a call from you by ten o'clock every night, I will come looking for you."
"Deal." I laugh.
"Merlin I'm going to miss you."
"I'll miss you too." I hug him. "You should probably get going. You have a long day tomorrow."
"Alright. Will you at least come over in the morning?"
"I'm sorry. I'm leaving tonight. Dad's already at Hogwarts, and I was actually supposed to leave two days ago, but he wasn't here to make me go, so I stayed so I could spend more time with you."
"Oh. Well, I suppose I'll see you at Christmas."
"Yeah. Goodbye Dray."
"Goodbye Ian."

Waking up alone in the house is something I will never get used to. Normally, Dad is sitting at the table criticizing the Prophet, and drinking coffee. Then I will make us both something real for breakfast, because I have learned that it is rare for him to actually eat anything. Then we'll go to the sitting room and read until Draco gets here, or I go there.
Now, it's just me, and it's weird. Still, I go about my morning routine, but instead of reading, I put all my last minute items in my trunk or bag. I look around, making sure I haven't forgotten anything. When it becomes obvious I haven't, I shrink my trunk and put it in my bag. Then, I floo to the Leaky, and then take a cab to Kings Cross.
I get a few weird looks from the wizarding families, and lots of curious ones from the students. I have on black skinny jeans with holes, a dark grey t-shirt, and Sirius' old leather gloves. My hair is pulled half up, showing off my earrings, and my dragon tattoo is twisting around on my shoulder.
Nobody is paying attention to the lightning bolt on my forehead, so I get on the train and find my usual compartment without the usual people stopping me or reporters taking pictures. Making my way through the crowd was difficult, especially when I bumped into people and amplified their emotions. When I finally got here, I had to wipe up a bit of blood, but I am rather proud of myself for not passing out. The door slides open, and a bossy voice fills the compartment.
"This compartment is claimed. You need to leave." I look up to see Hermione standing there, hair in a ponytail, with a pink T-shirt, and blue jeans on.
"Wow, that's rough. To think I was actually excited to see you again." I joke.
She looks closer, then her eyes widen in surprise.
