"Okay, so we should probably finish what we can of the planning our wedding, or at least think about planning more of it." Kara said. She and Lena sat around the living room coffee table on the soft carpet.
Lena smiled at Kara and nodded. "We should."
"J'onn has agreed to walk me down the isle." Kara said. "We've got all our wedding invitations ready to send out." She places her hand on top of her and Lena's piles of wedding invitations. Kara's pile was significantly bigger than Lena's. "We've already got a venue and set a date too."
"I have another invitation to add to my pile." Lena said. She slipped the invitation under her pile before Kara could see the same on it.
"Okay, they can get sent tomorrow, I'll take the ones that need posted to the post box. The others can get sent by Cisco through his portals." Kara said.
Lena nodded. "Bridesmaids?" She asked, taking a deep breath and placing her hand on her slightly rounded stomach.
Kara smiled. "Nyssa, Sara, and Alex."
"I was thinking of asking Sam." Lena said. She hesitated for a moment, debating on how to bring up her next bridesmaid idea.
"Ruby can be our flower girl." Kara smiled widely.
"And..." Lena swallowed.
"And?" Kara urged. "You can tell me."
Lena took a deep breath. "You're not going to be happy about the person I have in mind." She looked down at her hands.
"If you're going to say Felicity-"
"You know what, forget it." Lena cut Kara off. She got up. "I have to go to LCorp and sort some things out before Sam gets here to take over." She turned to collect her coat and keys.
"Lena." Kara said softly, feeling bad for upsetting her fiancé.
"Forget I said anything." Lena said as she left the apartment.
Kara sighed.
*******
"Lena's mad at me." Kara declared to Alex and Maggie as she threw a tequila shot into her mouth. She placed the glass onto the table.
Alex, Maggie, and Kara sat in a booth of their favorite alien bar talking about everything and anything and drinking alcohol like it was water.
"What did you do now?" Alex asked.
"Nothing." Kara declared.
Alex raised her right brow in question.
Kara groaned. "I told her she couldn't have Felicity at our wedding as a bridesmaid."
"Why can't she?" Alex asked.
"Because..." Kara sighed. "Oliver will be there and besides I don't really like her."
Maggie laughed sarcastically. "That's selfish of you."
"Kara, Felicity is or was Lena's best friend in college." Alex said. "If she wants her there, she should be able to have her there."
"But-"
"Lena doesn't open herself up to many people, it terrified her. But Felicity was one of the first people she let in, don't ruin that for her." Alex said. "Give Felicity a chance, let Lena reconnect with someone from her past since everyone from her past has previously tried to kill her."
"But-"
"Lena deserves her best friend at her wedding." Alex said. "And if you haven't noticed, Lena doesn't really have many friends that aren't your friends."
