Upon hurrying off to his room, Jungkook lay in his bed as he stared up at the ceiling, brooding over his thoughts. The faint glow of the morning sunlight beamed through his window, illuminating his bedroom with an aesthetic orange.

He couldn't quite believe what he said to Taehyung. It wasn't that he regretted it, although he'd be lying if he said he didn't feel humiliated. The words sort of slipped out, and Jungkook had absolutely no control over it in that split second.

It was strange. Jungkook didn't know what was wrong with him. After seeing Taehyung in the kitchen, the Prince felt speechless for the first time in his life. He couldn't help but allow his words to get trapped in his throat whilst talking to servant which confused him greatly. He knew he wasn't attracted to boys in the slightest, so why was he acting so pathetic in front of Taehyung?

Meanwhile, the blue-haired boy crawled onto his bedraggled mattress after the incident with Jungkook in the kitchen, a small smile plastered over his face. The words of the Prince replayed in his head over and over again.

"Call me Jungkook."

The servant undeniably found Jungkook attractive. I mean, who wouldn't? Even earlier on, he'd overheard Jennie and Hoseok gushing about how handsome the two Princes were.

Prior to meeting the Southern family, Taehyung was very much aware of the talk spreading through his own kingdom about Jungkook and Yoongi. The Princes were thought to be extremely reserved and cut off, although a few moments before Jungkook has shown Taehyung a completely new side. He couldn't believe the Prince had allowed him to address him by his actual name.

As the servant's eyes slowly began to droop with fatigue, his mind was fixated onto the raven-haired Prince who couldn't seem to leave the blue-haired boy's head, despite the fact Taehyung was very much aware that swooning over his mistress's suitor was absolutely forbidden.

The next morning, Jungkook was awoken abruptly with the sight of his brother barging into his own room, closely followed by Jimin whom the eldest Prince practically dragged in.

"What are you doing?" Jungkook groaned out, burying his face into his own pillow. He'd only managed to squeeze in three hours of peaceful slumber that night, hence why his head was absolutely clogged with intense tiredness.

"What do you mean? You've overslept for too long," Yoongi scolded disapprovingly, pulling the covers off his brother who swore at him from under his breath, flipping onto his back.

Jungkook rubbed the sleep away from his eyes before letting out a suppressed yawn, finally noticing the presence of his servant in his room.

"What are you doing here?" the Prince asked accusingly, pointing a threatening finger at Jimin. "Get out."

However, Yoongi only maintained a firmer grip against his boyfriend's palm, glaring back at his own brother. "Leave him alone. He's staying here."

Jungkook couldn't help but grimace over how smitten Yoongi was. The thought of his brother allowing himself to be hung up over one specific person caused the younger to feel sick. Ever since Park Jimin had stolen the Prince's attention, Yoongi had began to spend less time with Jungkook and more time with the boy. Undoubtedly, it hurt him, although he refrained from telling Yoongi how he felt due to the fact he struggled with expressing how he felt towards people.

"Besides, haven't you forgotten what's happening this evening?" Yoongi asked, raising his brows at his brother who, in return, shrugged unknowingly. "You fool. It's the ball dedicated to you. Don't you remember?"

Jungkook felt his heart drop. A dreaded feeling crept into the pit of his stomach as the reality of him marrying Jennie was becoming much more real by every passing day.

"Am I meant to care?" the Prince retorted back, masking his feeling of sadness with a demeanour of sheer arrogance. "I won't even dance with her anyway."

Yoongi rolled his eyes as Jimin only remained quiet, feeling quite awkward in the room. He didn't know exactly what to say, nor would he dare open his mouth either since the younger Prince scared him beyond his wits.

"Bet you won't. But that doesn't mean you aren't going to marry her, does it?" Yoongi shot back, shaking his head at Jungkook. "Get ready. I'll see you downstairs."

The two boys departed the room, immediately withdrawing their hands as to not be seen by anyone roaming the palace. The punishment for servants romantically or sexually involved with any royals was punishable by death, hence why Yoongi and Jimin were constantly attempting to not draw any attention onto themselves whatsoever.

As Jungkook witnessed them leaving in opposite directions to each other, he couldn't help but imagine what it'd be like between him and Taehyung. Internally, the younger convinced himself he had absolutely no attraction towards the servant boy, yet he couldn't figure out why he was even thinking about the repercussions over the possibility of him involving himself with Taehyung. He'd never even thought about boys in a romantic way before, so why was there an unnerving feeling inside his body that was relentlessly convicting him the servant was very attractive?

The Prince blamed it onto the fact that his head was all over the place due to the stress imposed upon him from his arranged marriage with Jennie. Perhaps the constant reprimands from his parents about wedding the girl had caused psychological confusion. There was absolutely no way he could ever like Taehyung romantically, so the Prince only forcefully shoved the imprinted image of the servant from his mind as he yanked himself out of bed, getting ready for the ball which would commence in only a few hours.
