I am back yet again! Here's the end of the completely lame cliffhanger back there. So, anyways, more people have begun to read this story! I'm so glad for all of you who have stuck with me. If you like this story, also check out Siren's song. It's a great story and I think you'll love it.

Eris's POV

Scarlet turned around quickly.

"What is it?" She asked.

"Well, have you ever wondered why I collect souls? I eat the essence, but have you ever wondered what the soul was for?" I asked. Scarlet seemed to ponder this for a moment. I stood quietly, awaiting her answer.

"I don't think so. I guess I just assumed that you needed it for something important." She shrugged. Oh, it's much more than that, deary, much more.

"Well, have you ever heard of the soul swap?" I inquired.

"No. But it sounds like it has something to do with swapping souls." She answered.

"Well, it's where you swap one soul with another. I am trying to do that, but the soul I need will be a powerful demon. The more powerful the demon, the more souls it needs for the transfer." I told her. Her eyes noticeably widened. Of course she would be surprised. What else could you expect?

"Why-why would you want to do that?" She asked me. Okay, she was pretty scared. I don't blame her.

"To get my revenge. I will give this demon two weapons. One steel sword and one Stygian iron sword coated in the blood of the Ophiotaurus. One for a sorceress I know, and the other for the gods." I explained darkly.

"Why would you want to kill them?" Scarlet exclaimed. Here it comes...

"Because they ruined my happiness. Just as they did to you. You can join me and get your revenge. Maybe even get your guy back. What do you say?" I asked. She can't possibly resist it.

"I-I-I will join you. Just promise me that I'll get happiness. Or Nick." She desperately agreed. I smiled; part one was completed.

"I promise." I reassured.

"How many more souls do you need for this transfer? And who is this demon anyway?" Scarlet asked.

"I only need a few more. They need to be very dark though. To answer your second question, he's known by the name of the soul thief." I answered brusquely. "I think it's time to return to your guest room. I don't sleep, so I'll stay out.  Goodbye." I continued. I rushed away, not bothering to look back. Why should I? My objective was already achieved.

The next morning...

I leaned on the wall of the castle as I waited for Scarlet and Crystal to come out. It seems like some royalty always sleeps.

"Hey, when are the princess and her guest coming out here?" I asked the guard.

"I am not allowed to give out that information." He steely answered. Oh really? We'll see about that. I concentrated on the darkness and pulled into his mind.

"You will give me the answer to my question." I whispered into his mind. His eyes turned a glowing black as he became possessed with the darkness.

"They will be out any moment." He mumbled. I smiled sweetly. That would be enough. I let go of the hold I had over him and stood yet again against the wall. Finally, the two walked out of the yard.

"Are you coming?" I asked.

"Wait, where exactly are we going?" Crystal asked back.

"To go find some boars. The live near the peak of Mount Erymanthius." I answered as I pulled out my scythe. Crystal nodded and Scarlet followed in suit. I spread my wings and made for the sky. Just to show off, I folded my wings in and dived into the mountains. The wind screamed as I shot down through it. At the last moment, I extended my wings and glided up. I looked back and saw Scarlet and Crystal right behind me.

"Show-off much?" Crystal laughingly asked. I laughed back. Sometimes, I really didn't hate Crystal. Scarlet floated up to me as her peregrine falcon servants flew her over to me.

"You might have style, but I've got swag!" Scarlet bragged. I laughed yet again. She was so next millenia. Then came the trouble. A flock of birds that looked made out of steel came towards us.

"Stymphalian birds!" We all cried out. I swooped down and pushed fear into the bird's minds. Some shrieked and flew away, but the majority of them stayed.

"I've got this!" Crystal yelled. Then, she omitted an ear-splitting shriek. Who knew she could scream that well? The remaining birds fell to the ground, but one threw a feather at Crystal. I dived to stop it. That incompetent creature was not going to take away my pleasure when I killed her. I caught the bird just before the feather hit Crystal dead on the right eye. Crystal fainted and fell. I then motioned for Scarlet to follow me. I grabbed her arm while scarlet grabbed her leg. We both flew her over to the cave in the mountains. Mount Olympus was a ways away, and this would be the best we could get. I dumped Crystal onto the floor as soon as we got to the cave.

"Why'd you save her? You do want her dead, don't you?" Scarlet asked.

"I wanted to save the pleasure of killing her for myself and the demon I might be evil, but I have honor and integrity." I answered briskly. There would be no time to chat afterwards.

"What do we do now, just wait until she wakes?" Scarlet asked. She was fidgiting with a rock she'd found. That meant she was bored. I did nothing though. All we could do is wait, and I doubt that Crystal would like a bucket of water dumped onto her. I looked out into the mountains. In the distance, you could see the fields of olives. Thank you Athena. She was my6 least hated. She at least had enough sense in her to be independent, but less cruel than Artemis. I didn't mind olives either.

"When do you think she'll wake?" I asked. Might as well make some small talk. It wouldn't hurt, would it?

"Eh. Maybe in a half-an hour. With the amount of sleep she gets, it won't be long. That much can be sure." Scarlet nonchalantly replied.

"You do know that since you said yes to helping me that you'll have to contribute to killing to get your happy ending with... Nick, was it?" I informed her.

"Of course. It might not be the purest thing to do, but sometimes if you want to win, you've gotta sin. Let nothing stand in your way. That's what my older sister used to say."

Finally! Today's been a slow day. Not much happened. But eh. It's not like every day can be interesting.
