Fifteen

   'It's my first kiss and I get to kiss Jimin!'

   He didn't know why it was such a big deal and he didn't try to look for an answer either, because it didn't matter. Not when they were so close, millimetres apart, wanting to close the gap already.

   Unfortunately, their moment was cut short by the sound of keys in the front door, followed by a creaking door and finally the door closing.

   The boys' eyes went wide and they both separated from each other in less than a second. Though, it was already too late.

   "Oh, sorry for my interruption," the voice of a grown man cut through the awkward silence in the living room. It made Jungkook jump off the couch and make a perfectly 90 degrees angled bow.

   "My apologies, sir. I'm Jeon Jungkook," he tried to sound as 'rich' as he could, not wanting to dissapoint anyone.

   "Oh my, no need to bow down, son. It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Park Jihyun, Jimin's father, you can call me however you like." It kind of reminded Jungkook of his own father.
   Relieved, he stood up straight before answering. "It's a pleasure to meet you too, Mr Park." Jungkook nervously smiled, eyeing Jimin and giving him a look that asks for help, not knowing what to do. Fortunately, Jimin chimed in. "Father, hiw come you're home early?" Jimin was truly curious.

   Mr Park went over to the kitchen, the boys following, as he explained them that his and Jimin's mother's date had to be cut short due to an unexpected call from a close friend of Jimin's mother. The reason for the phonecall must've had something to do with a breakup, Mr Park thinks, having experienced it countless times before.

   Both boys look at each other before quickly turning away, actions from before they were getting interrupted running through both their minds. Mr Park sensed the awkwardness and tried to remove it by taking out his phone and calling over one of their workers who had been sent home by Jimin's parents before their date.

   "Ah, yeah it got cancelled... Yes that would be amazing... thank you very much and sorry again. You'll get an extra day off for this... yes, see you soon." The boys listened as Mr Park hung up.

   "Who did you call?" Jimin asked curiously.

   "Ah that was our cook, I'm hungry, so she'll be making us dinner." Mr Park answered, smiling widely. The smile was similar to Jimin's, only Jimin had a crooked tooth which his father didn't have. It's not that Jimin looked any less attractive with it, on the contrary, it looked very cute, making him even more attractive.

   The smile wasn't the only treat they shared. Aside from that, they also had the same small eyes and button nose. The only difference was that Jimin's looked cuter and softer. It made him question how similar he would look to his mother.

   Thinking about the similarities made Jungkook realise that he was still in Jimin's house whike his family was about to have dinner. Quickly, he started to speak up. "Uhm, I think I should go then. It was nice to-"

   He didn't have the chamce to finish his sentence, because he got cut off by Jimin's father. "No! Stay for dinner please, I'd like to know more about the boy Jimin's dating." He winked, making both Jimin and Jungkook blush and choke.

   "W-We're n-not...," Jimin started, avoiding both men's eyes before Mr Park spoke up again, his gaze softening. "It's okay Jimin, your mother is not here so there is no need to keep it a secret."

   Wide eyes turned to Mr Park. Jimin wondered if he heard it right. He had tried to hide the fact that he'd been dating boys up until that moment, not having good experiences of coming out. He had been scared of having his father turn against him, knowing that his mother did not long ago. Still, it didn't make him any less gay, he knew that and the guilt ate him up. So having his father telling him that he accepted his son for being who he is and wanting him to be himself around him was a big shock for Jimin.
