"Hi there, Hazza." Draco chirped from behind Harry, gently wrapping his arms around him. Harry groaned and pushed his arms away.

"No pet names." He said sternly as he turned around to face him. Something about the glint in his eyes told the alpha it was halfhearted. Draco's happy grin didn't flatter or even dim as he looked at the raven haired boy.

"You know. I believe you still have an egg to figure out." He said nonchalantly.

Harry's eyes rolled lightly and he stepped away from Draco, pulling out a sheet of parchment with the words he had heard from the egg when he finally understood Diggorys clue, which he was given the day after the start of Harry and Draco's courtship.

"So... basically, what this is saying is that their going to steal something away from you and hide it in the lake? Seems more than a bit dangerous." Draco breathed after he scanned the note.

"What? You think I can't handle it, Dray?" He said the last word with a mocking tone.

"Of course I think you can't handle it." Draco murmured, but when he saw the angry expression on Harry's face he cleared his throat. "But uh... you think you can... so that's all that matters." He tried again, but Harry's glare stayed put.

"You know, Malfoy, you say you want to court me, but you don't act like it." He spat out, then turned on his heel, starting to walk away before Draco caught his hand and pulled him to a stop.

"Wait, wait, wait, wait. Look, I know I'm not very good at this, especially now. I just don't want you to get hurt." He tried to explain himself.

"And you think belittling me isn't hurting me?" Harry nearly yells, voice firm, yet somehow still so, so broken.

Draco stopped to look at Harry, at a loss for words. Draco was an overly caring person, when it came to Harry at least. It seemed the boy never really left his mind, so to Draco, Harry was the most precious thing on the planet. But perhaps he failed to pay attention to what he was saying and how he said it. Perhaps he failed to realize how well Harry could handle himself.

"Nothing, then? Are you not going to defend yourself with another speech about my well being?" Harry's voice was icy and acidic as the words flew out of his mouth, seeming to stab Draco in the chest.

"Harry, I'm sorry." He whispered, and Harry paused. He wasn't sure if he had ever heard those two words come out of the blondes mouth. Draco had to stifle a relived sigh as Harry stepped closer, his sincere apology seemingly melting Harry's attitude into a light, almost carful one.

"I know you are." Was all he said before he held Draco close to himself. Malfoy reacted immediately, arms curling around him, feeling floaty.

(A/n: hey! Super, super short chapter to establish the boy's relationship at the moment. Obviously they have a bit they need to work through before Harry's second challenge.)
