Seokjin laughed out loud at the texts, his cheeks subtly burning. It took about 5 to 10 minutes until Namjoon arrived and the two were cuddling on the couch, as always. The younger had his nose buried in the crook of Seokjin's neck.

"You said you needed someone to talk to," Namjoon mumbled, feeling the older's fingers fiddling with his hair.

The older sighed. "Yeah. C-can we go to my room, though? I just think I'd feel more comfortable telling you there than here."

Namjoon chuckled half-heartedly, and Seokjin's heart almost combusted on the spot. "It's your house, Jinnie. But okay, let's go."

Seokjin led Namjoon up to his room and closed the door behind them. He watched as the younger sat cross-legged on the soft mattress before joining him, sitting in the same position across from Namjoon. The blonde looked at the older expectantly, the latter avoiding eye-contact.

"So?" Namjoon mumbled, still looking at Seokjin.

"I-it's about Minho. I haven't told you about him y-yet."

Namjoon's eyes widened and his ears perked up, already intently listening. He took the older's hands in his own with a reassuring smile. Seokjin stared, wide-eyed, at Namjoon, allowing the younger to successfully grasp his sweaty hands.

"You don't have to worry, Jin. I'm here to listen," Namjoon whispered, rubbing his thumbs across the back of Seokjin's hands.

The older sighed.

"Okay. So, um, Minho and I met around 2014. We were really good friends for a few years until he admitted that he had feelings for me. It wasn't really long before I accepted his feelings and we started walking around as an official couple in 2016. That was probably a great year for us. We'd go on frequent dates. We'd spend nights watching Netflix, finishing two dramas in a span of three nights, sometimes. We had a really good relationship going. Slowly, I started to fall in love with everything that he did. I started to fall in love with him. Every little thing he did just made me feel so happy. He made me feel so loved.

"Time flew by and we were already together for a year and a half. Things weren't as amazing as they were in the beginning, but him and I was what kept me sane. Being with him made me feel human. It was around that time that my parents were immigrating, and I refused to go with them. Minho, he was always there for me after my parents left me, considering that they left right after the biggest argument they've ever had with me. And I appreciated him for that. He helped me cope with the absence of my parents and I loved him for that.

"But things started changing a bit more after our second year anniversary. Minho started becoming a lot more aggressive. Each day, my fear of him grew. I was afraid that he'd hurt me, because he'd always smash something against the floor or throw something against the wall. He was constantly coming to my house after midnight, drunk off his ass and sputtering nonsense. This one day, I couldn't sleep at all and decided to wait for Minho to return. He came back around 3 in the morning and starting scolding me for being awake. It- it was the first time he was that angry. H-he wouldn't stop yelling. He th-threw me with his phone, and it bruised my collarbone. But he didn't just stop there. He would smack me and hit me whenever I wasn't enough for him.

"He then, three months ago, came to apologize for constantly putting me down and abusing me. I don't know what it was about him at that time, but everything he said seemed genuine and pure. I believed that he was sorry and I forgave him. He told me he was abusive because his father was the same to his mother. And the three months we were together was just like when we first started dating, it was enjoyable. It made me feel happy to be with him. I fell in love with someone who unexpectedly broke my heart twice."

Seokjin forced a strained chuckle.

"I'm so stupid."

"Hey," Namjoon spoke up, after intently listening to the older, "don't call yourself stupid. I've never fallen in love before and I don't know much about it, but I know it can be a stupid thing to feel. It makes you do stupid things and you constantly make stupid mistakes for the person you love. You want to be the best you can for them, even if what you're doing is wrong. So, I don't believe that you were stupid for falling in love with him. Sure, you've done stupid things for him, but you were never stupid for loving him. It was only natural."

Namjoon situated his hands on Seokjin's now tear-stained cheeks, wiping the oncoming tears away softly. He smiled at the older, running his long fingers through his hair before softly pinching his cheek.

"You're so beautiful," he mentioned, voice soft. Seokjin felt his face heat up at Namjoon's words.

"I-I know that, dummy." Namjoon let out a hearty laugh, one that unintentionally made the older's heart beat faster.

"Of course you do." The younger leaned forward a slight bit, staring into the brunette's eyes with his own lidded ones. And again, Seokjin's face was heating up and his cheeks colored red. "Can I kiss you, Kim Seokjin?"

"W-w-what? N-no!" the older exclaimed, leaning back.

Namjoon smirked at the man's red, shocked face before running his fingers through his own hair. He sighed before chuckling. "Was worth a try, I guess," he said before looking at the brunette through his eyelashes.

And that stare made Seokjin's heart do a double take.
