Hard Carry

"Hyuung, it's so embarrassing..  ", Yugyeom whines hard from inside of the car.
"A game is a game, Gyeom ah. Be a man", Jackson says calmly. GOT6 are standing outside of the car waiting for Yugyeom.
"Bammie ya, how could you wear flashy things like this??", Yugyeom sulks, "the pants are too short".
"They're not. You're too tall", Bambam retorts, "shut up and just get out, I'm starving. Beside, you lost".
"Shireo!", Yugyeom shouts.
"Gyeom ah, get out or I'll hit you in the head", JB throws a threat.
Yugyeom opens the door unwillingly and GOT6 bursts in laughter. Yugyeom is wearing the flashy jacket and trousers Jackson previously wore. But because his legs are long, the trousers length is not enough to cover his legs and somewhat stop above his ankle. The shocking pink floral jacket is very contrast to Yugyeom's pale skin so it looks even striking.
During the way, Jackson suggested they play another round of game and the loser has to wear the flashy outfit. They all agreed in the end and Yugyeom is the sole loser. They made Jinyoung play too, but he miraculously won.
They arrived at the rest stop and Yugyeom is the only one who is unhappy.
"Let's eat, I'm starving", JB says once the laughter is subsided. GOT6 obediently follow the leader. It's a fun ride so far, they boys couldn't stop making jokes and loud laughs could be heard along the way. Even Coco seemed happy, she curled on Jinyoung lap and even barked softly when the boys were laughing. Looked like she was laughing with them too. They decided to stop by a rest area. It's not weekend so the rest area is pretty empty. Jinyoung feels relieved. He's already used to people staring at him, but still he prefers less.
Jinyoung's joints are still hurting when he's walking, probably due to sitting in the car too long. But the whole atmosphere makes him forget about the pain. He follows the boys, and smiles when they make fun of Yugyeom.
"Thank you for the food", the boys says in unison when the food arrives.
"It was a good ride. The scenery is amazing", Youngjae says while digging his food.
"Agree. And it's warmer too outside", Jinyoung adds excitedly.
"So we're going again after this, stop by the grocery store to buy food and other things. Do you want to go fishing? Because I know a good place. If we get a catch, we can add it to our barbecue tonight".
"Barbecueeee!", Yugyeom, Bambam, and Jackson raise their hands.
"JYP hyung sent us meat so we don't have to buy", JB adds, "suprise!"
All 7 of them cheer loudly.
"Gyeom ah, eat your vegetables", Jinyoung scolds the maknae who has been devouring his chicken only.
"Ah hyuuung, I hate vegetables", Yugyeom sulks, his flashy outfit doesn't look flattering on him at all.
"That's why you're still a baby", Jinyoung mocks him, "eat!".
Youngjae laughs hard seeing Yugyeom eating his veggies while sulking.
"Youngjae ah, watch your chopsticks", Jinyoung scolds again.
"Sorry", Youngjae stops laughing and bows his head.
JB chuckles seeing the scenery. He really missed seeing Jinyoung being so stern with the kids. Honestly, most of the times, it's Jinyoung who always acts as the mother of the group. He's the one who always organize the group, making sure that everyone has the same perception, taking times to talk to them about the ideas. Without Jinyoung, the group would never survive to this extent. Almost all members of GOT7 are emotional, Jinyoung is the one who always brings the tension down and talks some sense into them. The younger members are also relying on him so much. It's good to know that Jinyoung hasn't lost his nurturing side even when they haven't gone together for a while.
"Jaebom hyung. Look at your rice, how come a grown up eat like that? So messy!", Jinyoung finally scolds him.
JB looks down only to see his rice is falling.
"So.. sorry", JB stutters, feeling embarrassed.
Jinyoung feels happy, he eats more than usual and everything tastes better than usual. The lunch is not as quiet though, it's full of laughter and chat. When they all done, all of them feel very satisfied.
"Ok let's hit the road again. We should be there in an hour or  two. Jinyoung ah, you can take a nap if you're feeling tired", JB says. Jinyoung just finished taking all his medicines. 
"Nah, it's alright. I'm still good, not tired", Jinyoung smiles at him.
"Gurae, let's go".
Jinyoung falls asleep five minutes after the car departs.
"Not tired my ass", JB chuckles watching the younger man's reflection on the rear mirror.
Mark turns his head to see Jinyoung curling up to Jackson, while Coco is sleeping on his lap. He looks so young and fragile with his mask on. Maknaes line try to lower their voice as well. The trips become so quiet, but no one compains. They all hope Jinyoung gets the rest he needs.
Jinyoung dreams about GOT7. Inside of the van they were using for Flight Log promotional video, they are going for a trip, all of them are laughing, Bambam gets his face painted, Jackson and Youngjae are so loud, Yugyeom and Mark join the laughter larade and it's all very bright and cheerful.  Gosh, why is this scenery so familiar? Jinyoung can still remember it so clearly. JB is driving but every once in a while, he joins the conversation, throwing random comments. Fear creeps up from behind Jinyoung's back, he suddenly realized what will happen next. In the video, Jinyoung was falling asleep only to wake up in a limbo state where he was dying while his friends were trying to pull him to the consciousness.  Is this going to be the same? Jinyoung suddenly asks himself. If it is, all he has to do is not to fall asleep. Do not fall asleep, Jinyoung tells himself.
Mark leans to him closer, attaching earphone to Jinyoung's ear. After this, after this he would get sleepy and he'd fall asleep. Don't fall asleep. Jinyoung can hear the music coming from the earphone. It's weird though, he can't recognize the music, what it is? It's good though.. It's relaxing, and lulling him. Damn, he's getting sleepy, the scenery in front of him becomes blurry. No, don't fall asleep. Jinyoung keeps chanting the words in his head. But his eyes are getting heavier and heavier. All images he sees are blending, all colors are mixed.
"Jinyoung ah.. ", Jinyoung can feel someone is shaking him.
Jinyoung opens his eyes slowly.
"We're here", Jinyoung is greeted by Jackson's smile when he comes around.
The car is parked outside of a big villa.  Jinyoung smiles, feeling relieved. It was only a dream. He's okay, his friends are okay.
"Okay guys, I think we should split into three teams. I's still noon, but I think the temperature will be dropping soon, maybe an hour or two. So, it's better for Jinyoung and me to stay at home, preparing for tonight's dinner. Yugyeom, can you help us?", JB gives the instruction.
"Don't you want to go fishing, hyung?", Yugyeom asks.
"Nah, I can do that tomorrow. We still have plenty of times. Beside, I can't wait to see what's JYP PDnim sent for us", JB smiles excitedly.
"Mark, Jackson, Youngjae and Bambam can go shopping", JB adds, "but don't buy anything that you would regret".
The four guys shout in protest, JB is very sure at the moment that the guys are planning something crazy.
"Jinyoung ah, if you still feel tired, you can just take a rest. Me and Yugyeom can just clean and do preparation", JB says gently.
"I'll help, I slept in the car so I'm not sleepy".
"Okay, but I don't want you to push yourself. Tell us if you feel tired or anything".
"Yes, I know hyung". 
JB pats Jinyoung's head affectionately.
The villa is as gorgeous as they can remember if not more beautiful. When they first visited the villa, it was in the middle of summer so it was  rather hot and dry. But in the spring, they can see more green color from the grass and the trees. Indeed the wind breeze is still warm, but looks like it's going to be colder in the evening. They boys get so excited when they open the refrigerator because it turns out that it's fully stocked. JYP PD nim must be the one to arrange this. GOT7 are amazed on how much meat they have and it's all A grade meat.
The furniture looks the same since last time and it brings back memories. They were shooting when they were here previously, but it didn't feel like they were on duty at all. They were feeling relaxed and happy as if it was just another family vacation. They feel like a family indeed when they are together.
As JB said, the temperature drops in the evening, they have to put on warm clothes. JB and Mark make sure Jinyoung is warm enough before he steps out of the house to join the barbecue party.
"Daebak, it's daebak", they all exclaim excitedly while grilling and eating the meat. Food flows like water and so does their conversation. Maknae line can't stop throwing jokes, making the hyung line laughing non stop. It's really amazing how Jinyoung is really unbothered with the smell of the meat. He enjoys it very much, it's such a rare chance that his stomach doesn't growl in protest. But he's suspecting that his mood plays a part in keeping it settled. He made a mental note to himself before going that he wouldn't get sick during the vacation, so far so good.
He has to scold the maknae line several time for making lewd jokes. But in the end, he just lets them and shares laugh with them too.
Jinyoung almost feel sad when JB tells them to call it quit because it's getting very late and the air is getting colder.
They already finished more than half of their stock in the refrigerator so if they continue, they won't have anything left for tomorrow. JB constantly reminds them that they will still be in the house for another night.
They all agree to stop eating, but not with the drinking, so the drinking party continues. Jinyoung has to admit that his members are strong with alcohol, he's the weakest one. He doesn't really like drinking alcohol.
Jinyoung notice JB and Mark don't drink a lot tonight, but he doesn't say anything. He knows JB and Mark refrain themselves from drinking so they can look out for Jinyoung in sober state, they probably feel pitty because Jinyoung can't drink so they don't want to leave Jinyoung out.
They all gather at the living room, eith Jinyoung sitting on the sofa while the other members are sitting on the floor holding their glass of wine. They are playing board game JB brought but Bambam keeps losing so he's a bit upset while the other members keep mocking him. Coco is also happy. Her tummy is full and she's barking happily everytime GOT7 laughs as if she laughs with them too. She's really clingy with Jinyoung though, she keeps asking Jinyoung to pet her and lays down on Jinyoung's lap. Youngjae's a bit jealous but he's happy because Jinyoung looks happy with Coco.
"This is great, it's been a long time since the last time we had fun", Bambam says, his cheeks are a bit blushed.
"True, true.. I hope we can come here again", Yugyeom raises his glass.
"We'll come here again when Jinyoung gets a remission!", Jackson pats Jinyoung's back.
"I pray for Jinyoung hyung's health", Youngjae also raises his glass.
They all raise their glasses, "to Jinyoung's health".
"Ya, we came here to celebrate Jackson's birthday. Why praying for me?", Jinyoung protests, but his cheeks are blushed, "not everything is about me".
"Your health is my priority now more than my birthday. You healthy, I healthy. You happy, I happy",  Jackson pecks Jinyoung's hand, he's clearly a bit drunk.
"Honestly, it's been a while we get to see your motherly side", Yugyeom confess, "I kinda missed being scolded by you".
"You Masochist", Bambam teases the giant maknae.
"Jinyoung chuckles, "yea, I guess it's been a while isn't it?"
"I have to admit, I kinda miss being the mother too. Eversince I got sick, looks like my confidence is also declining. I knew I changed, I'm not like I used to", Jinyoung admits, looking at the maknae, "but you guys are here, I have to say that I made it this far because of you guys. I won't be as strong if it wasn't because of your presence. So thank you".
The room becomes so silent, GOT7 members are moving closer to Jinyoung now as if something unseen pulls them.
"But you're strong, hyung. If it were me, I don't think I know how to deal, I would be too scared", Bambam suddenly speaking. His voice is a bit trembling. Seems like he's trying hard not to cry.
"I'm scared, Bam ah", Jinyoung says gently, "I keep on thinking that something could go wrong, every single day. You know the doctor told me I have 80% chance of surviving. I believed I could make it. But then he told me my cancer worsen. I kept on thinking it's no longer 80%. I could even be in the group of 20% that don't survive. I keep thinking about it, even to this second".
"Jinyoung ah...", JB interrupts. But Jinyoung pats JB's hand, signaling that it's okay.
"I had so many breakdowns. So many, Bambam, you even witnessed one of them", Jinyoung looks at Bambam, "but in the end, you guys are the one who always give me stregth, because you believe in me, you never leave. No matter how devastated I am, you are always in my sight. I don't hard carry this myself. You guys are also hard carrying me. You always help me and support me. Maybe now I'm the one who is depending on you guys, I have to say that I need you. But even when I don't say anything, you always know and you're here everytime I need. I am more than grateful and blessed that I have you in my life. I will work hard for you, for the fans. We are more than an idol group, we are a family, that's what I'm feeling and it won't change. I love you all. Gomawo, I can't thank you enough".
"We are also scared hyung", Yugyeom says honestly, "When I heard about you getting sick, it hurt. At first I thought about you, about GOT7, I had bad thoughts too. I felt like we were over. I know I was selfish too for thinking about my own future. But seeing you fight everyday, I realized that it's not only about our job. It's about GOT7 as a family. Remember I went to your house that night hyung? I felt helpless because I couldn't do anything to help you. But you gave me strength, even only with your smile. You're still my hyung and I respect you very much. You inspire me, hyung, more than you know. I would hard carry you as much as I can because I know you would do the same for me" 
'"We love you", Jackson stands up, kissing Jinyoung in the forehead. He's crying. All members are crying too. This is the first time Jinyoung being so honest to the members after he became very sick. Somehow, they all feel relieved.
"Why are you crying? This is supposed to be a fun vacation!", Jinyoung laughs, "let's play another game!".
"No, no!", JB wipes his tears and abruptly standing, "it's late. You have to sleep".
"Ah, waee", Jinyoung whines, he pouts  his lips.
"Acting cute won't help. Eat your medicine, I'll measure your BP and temperature", JB orders.
"What, you know my med schedule, now?", Jinyoung still whines while JB goes into the room. JB comes back with black suitcase and he opens it in front of Jinyoung. Jinyoung sighs when he sees what's inside. Medical kits, digital sphygmomanometer, digital thermometer, pulse oxymeter and other things Jinyoung can only see in the hospital or in his house because Nurse Gwan left them there.
"Really?", Jinyoung rolls his eyes, "is this necessary?".
"Hey how do you think we could get dr Song's approval? We promised him we would send him your statistic everyday. Morning after you wake up, and before you go to sleep. It's a bit late now so I'm pretty sure he would fuzz about it. Now shut up so I can take your temperature".
Jinyoung feels embarrassed because the other members are watching him while JB takes the measurement. He feels that all members are feeling relieved when all within the range dr Song adviced.
"Let's go to bed, guys!", JB orders, putting the medical kit back into the suitcase.
"Hyung, can we all sleep here tonight?", Jinyoung pleads.
"What do you mean here?".
"Here, we sleep together like we used to".
"It's a good idea", Bambam smiles, "we're going to arrange the mattresses!".
The boys are busy afterwards, rustling and bustling around dragging mattresses and lots of blankets. Mark tells Jinyoung to sleep in the middle because it's pretty cold.
All 7 of them fall asleep as soon as their heads touch the pillows.
