18. Coffee Dates and Big Questions

Two weeks had passed since Luke and I's first date, and to say things were going well was an understatement. We took the opportunity to go on two more dates, one to the movies and the other a romantic dinner and we spent every possible moment we could together. I have never had a feeling like this before, I have never felt so cared for and secure this early in a relationship, it was amazing. I could also see that Luke was beginning to open up more to the idea of a relationship.

I decided that today I was going to surprise Luke after his gym session and take him out for coffee. Luke had text me to say that he was at the gym and was planning to do an hour by himself without a client. It had never occurred to me before that Luke would have other clients besides myself, I had always assumed it was only me.

I dressed up cute and did my makeup, feeling happy with my appearance as I made my way to the gym, deciding that I was going to wait outside for him as the text he had sent me was a little over an hour ago. After waiting another few moments, I spotted him through the glass doors, a tall, beautiful girl by his side. The smile I was wearing faded slightly as I made my way up to them, trying my best to keep the smile on my face.

"Hey." I greeted them, he had yet to see me as he was in deep in conversation with the girl.

"What are you doing here?" He grinned, pulling me in for a quick side hug.

"I thought we could go for coffee or something before I had to go to work." Although my answer was directed towards Luke, I could not keep my eyes off the stunning girl that was stood beside him.

"Sure. Oh by the way, Skylar this is Lola, Lola this is Skylar." I smiled warmly at her, sticking my hand out for her to shake.

"It's lovely to meet you Skylar." She smiled, shaking my hand loosely. Not wanting to be rude, I decided that I would offer Lola to join us, however I was secretly begging for her to turn down my offer as I did not fancy making awkward conversation for an hour.

"Oh, that's very sweet of you, but I have plans. Thanks for the offer anyway. I'll see you next session Luke." She smiled at him as she squeezed his bicep before sending me a small wave and heading towards her car.

"She's a client, she was there when I came in and I decided to do a quick session with her." He spoke quickly as he noticed the confused look on my face.

"She seems nice, and she's pretty." I added as we walked down the street to the coffee shop that was a few minutes away.

"I mean I guess, I've never payed much attention before. You're the only client I give special attention to." He smirked as he grabbed my hand and held it in his own. By Luke's simple words he reassured me, I knew that I was overreacting and possibly being over jealous, but I did trust Luke, it was other girls I did not trust.

"I'm gonna say that you're a little jealous." He laughed as he swung our hands back and forth as we walked, my smaller legs trying to keep up with his long strides.

"How can I not be? A gorgeous girl being trained by my insanely hot, something?" I spoke unsure as to what to call Luke and I as we had not discussed yet what we were.

"Your something? That's a new one." He laughed as we entered the coffee shop and ordered our drinks and finding a seat towards the back of the shop.

"We don't need to put labels on anything, we're happy with how we are and that's all that matters." I shrug as I took a sip of my coffee, cringing as the warm liquid burnt my tongue. I pouted a little because I knew that  my tongue would burnt and painful for the next few days.

"I have something to ask you, and you can say no if you want." He started, looking slightly apprehensive, almost as if he was unsure if he should ask me the question.

"Go for it." I replied, interested to know what he had to say, however I had an idea that whatever he was to ask me,  I would most likely agree to.

"Well, my older brother Jack is getting married in two weeks, and I'm allowed to bring a plus one. I was going to bring Calum and we were going to spend the night drunk dancing, but then you and I started to get a little more serious and I thought that maybe you would want to come instead." I was taken aback slightly, going to a family wedding would mean that I would be meeting Luke's family and most likely his parents, something I wasn't sure I was entirely ready for.

"Ok, I can see how stupid I was being, I completely understand why you wouldn't want to go and-" I interrupted his nervous rambling by agreeing that I would love to go and that it would be fun, however I was already beginning to feel nervous.

"Perfect." He grinned, nudging his feet against mine under the table.
