Chapter Three

She led me out the door and down the stairs to a large room with about three couches in it.

"Codee, this is Clear, Daniel, Matthew, Wolfgang, and Cassidy." She said pointing at each of them as she said their name.

"Hi, Codee, I'm Clear," A girl with wavy brown hair in a ponytail said happily, hopping up from one of the couches and running over to us.

"Clear, I think your scaring the girl." The other girl, Cassidy said with a small smile.

"Sorry," Clear said shyly, stepping about a foot back.

"Daniel, are you okay?" One of the guys with short blond hair said looking at another guy with his head in his hands, sitting alone at a couch in the corner.

"Yeah, I'm fine." He said standing up, then basically running out of the room with his head ducked and his eyes out of sight.

"Hi, Codee," Said the other guy, running his hand through his dark brown, wavy hair. "Sorry I have to make sure he's okay." He said to Kate as he quickly walked out after Daniel.

"Well, that was Matthew." Cassidy said rolling her eyes, then focusing back on the T.V.

"And I, my dear, am Wolfgang." Said the one that had talked earlier. He stood up and took three strides to us, taking my hand and lightly kissing it.

"Okay, Romeo." Cassidy said grabbing his arm and pulling out of the room.

"Oh, Cassie, hold on!" Clear shouted running after her.

"Well, that's my friends. They can be yours too, I mean, if you want them to be. There's another group of kids. But we don't hang with them. Well it's more like another three kids." She said leading the way to another room. "Camdon, come here." She yelled to a guy with headphones in his ears and his hood up walking past us as we re-entered the hall way.

He stopped and slowly walked to us. He was really cute. He had extremely dark brown hair, and you could tell it was brown from the lighting. His hair was a wavy shaggy look stopping right around his eye brows. I felt like he had to be a foot taller than me, so I couldn't exactly tell what color his eyes were, but from what I could see they were a light blue. He wore dark faded blue jeans, a black shirt with what looked to be a milkshake on it, some dark red converse and a black hoody. He wasn't exactly what you would call thin, but he seemed a bit muscular under his jacket.

"What?" he asked with a husky voice that made me get cold chills.

"This is Codee," she said happily, introducing us. "Codee, this is Camdon."

"Ah, Codee, you're the new chick." He said turning to look at me. "Can I leave now?" He asked turning to Kate.

"Yes, mean ass, you may leave." She said lightly slapping him on the shoulder.

"Okay," He said. He turned and walked up the stairs taking two at a time.

"He's such a jack ass." She said rolling her eyes. "And that's mainly it, I mean, except for the two whores that run around here. I don't think you would be the typa' girl to run around with skanks like that." She said as we walked through the hall way.

"That is the school rooms, where we learn." She said pointing at a door. "It has 4 different rooms, so one room for each grade. Even though we only really consist of Juniors and Seniors. None of us go to the schools around here." We walked a little further to what I was gonna guess was the kitchen. "That's the kitchen." She said pointing in the room.

"The rooms we had just came out of were the media rooms, there's three, it's where we hang." She said as we walked up the stairs to our rooms. "We have a down stairs too, and you will have to go down there sometimes, to do laundry, and up here is where all of the rooms are located in the house. The house whores live in the first room on the left." She said loudly, obviously wanting someone to hear her.

"I heard that bitch." Said a voice from in the room. The door swung open and a tall, tanned, skinny girl walked out in a mini-skirt and high heels. She was blond, but you could definitely tell she was a fake blond. Her blue eyes glistened with pink eye shadow, and heavy black eyeliner.

"Oh, you were meant to." Kate snapped with a fake smile.

"Ah, you must be the new girl; Codee, I presume. Well, with a little touch up on those roots, and a nice tan, and you could be presentable; the first new pretty girl at this hell hole in a long time." She said. I didn't know if I would take that as a complement, or an insult, so I just looked away.

"We were doing something before you rudely interrupted." Said another girl with way too many highlights and braces; she was kind of awkward looking. She was small and skinny, but with a huge mouth filled with braces. Her light brown hair was covered in blond highlights, and her deep brown eyes were smeared with black eyeliner.

"Oh, it's okay Rachel, I was just about to introduce myself to Codee. I'm Lindsey, and this is Rachel." She said pointing as she leaned against the door frame a little. " I see that Kate was showing you around the house, and Rachel and I were just talking. So I guess I'll leave you to wonder through the halls." She said, she quickly turned and pushed Rachel back in the room, closing the door behind them.

"Oh, well you just met the house whores." Kate said as we started slowly walking again. We reached another door and she talked one again "This is Clear and Cassidy's room," She said. "And right next door is the bathroom, all the way down as you know is our room, we have no one across from us" she said pointing down at our door. "And down this hall," she said turning to the hall across from the bathroom. "is the boys little piece of heaven,"

We started walking down the hall "These two doors," she said pointing at the two door right across from each other "are the two care takers, Mrs. Marsh, which I guess you must have already met, and Mrs. Purdy."

We walked down a little more, and it opened up into a little open room with three other doors.

"These two rooms are the boy's, Wolfgang and Camdon share that one over there," She said pointing at the room at the left, "and that one is Daniel's and Matthew's" she said pointing at the room on the right.

We started walking back from the way we came, walking from the hall, down the stairs, and to the back of the house where the kitchen was.

"This was once a mansion, the school rooms were once the maid quarters, the boy's rooms were the guest rooms, and that's mainly it. Not much else to this house." She said as we walked into the kitchen where Mrs. Marsh was cooking what I was gonna guess was lunch.

"Ah, Codee, right on time," Mrs. Marsh said turning from the stove to look at us. "I'm going to guess that Kate told you most of the ropes, so I will sum it all up. We have three cameras in the whole house, you can guess where they are if you would like, but we won't tell you. Curfew is at 10, lights out at 11. We get up and start school at 8, unless of course you go to one of the schools around here. You are to wake up at 7, and come to breakfast, twenty five minutes for breakfast that I've made. After that if you want food you will have to make it yourself. No being the boy's side after 7 unless telling us and having a good excuse as to why." She said "And that is mainly it, if you have any other questions feel free to ask me, Mrs. Purdy which you will meet shortly, or one of the other kids." She said with a smile. "Oh, and lunch will be done in thirty minutes." she turned around and started with the food again.

Kate and I almost ran out of the kitchen and to the media room, Kate jumped on the couch with me following closely behind, finding a seat close to her. We scrolled through the TV trying to find a channel to watch; we decided on a show that was on MTV.

"So, tell me about everyone here," I said rising up on my elbow, and looking at Kate. She smirked and rose her eye brows.

Oh what have I gotten myself into.
