Aang still hasn't woken up.
We were on a fire nation ship, which we infiltrated. We were all dressed in Fire Nation clothes, which brought back terrible memories for me.
This whole place reminded me of him.
We joined a few friends, including Sokka and Katara's father, and I was happy for them.
I stood with Toph and Katara at the edge of the ship, looking out into the horizon.
I heard a loud bang and we all looked back. It was Aang.
"Twinkle Toes! That's got to be you!"
"Aang, you're awake!" Katara yelled, running towards him.
"Are you sure? I feel like I'm dreaming." Aang said, rubbing his eyes.
Katara hugged Aang, "You're not dreaming. You're finally awake."
Sokka saw Aang and walked up to us, in full Fire Nation Guard uniform, "Aang, good to see you back with the living, buddy!"
"Sokka?" Aang asked, confused. I saw him veer to the side once, before knocking out.
I clapped my hands together, "Good night!" I yelled at Aang.
Everyone looked at me like I was crazy. Oops.
I left (Y/N). I couldn't believe it. I did what I had too to get my honor back. But I couldn't help but think of her. I looked down at my wrist, there was a simple bracelet, made of string, with (Y/N)'s family emblem, in gold, in the middle of the string.
"Wait! I have something for you!" (Y/N) was digging through her jewelry box. She pulled out a bracelet made of string, her family's emblem emblazoned on it, in gold, "hold out your hand."
I obeyed, holding out my hand.
"Now that you are officially my boyfriend," she paused, smiling at the word. I couldn't help but smile too, "you get to wear this, and I will always be a part of you."
"You already are a part of me."
She laughed, "just in case someone leaves, or gets kidnapped, or something."
"I'll never leave you, (Y/N)."
"And I, you Prince Zuko."
Mai walked out onto the ship, pulling me away from my thoughts. I fiddled with my bracelet.
"Aren't you cold?" She asked me.
"I've got a lot on my mind. It's been so long, over three years since I was home. I wonder what's changed. I wonder how I've changed." I answered. It wasn't a lie, but it wasn't the whole truth. Someone else was on my mind.
"I just asked if you were cold, I didn't ask for your whole life story." She giggled, and held my face in her hands.
This felt wrong.
This is wrong.
She's not (Y/N).
She leaned in and kissed me. I returned the kiss.
I'm sorry (Y/N).
So, Aang woke up again. And of course, he had some questions.
"Why are we on a Fire Nation ship? Why is everyone dressed this way? And why am I the only one who's completely out of it?" He asked.
"You need to take it easy, okay? You got hurt pretty bad. I like your hair."
