I'll Find You

•Chapter One•

Present Day-Dominique's P.o.v
"So you're saying on live Tv. That you, Dominique Johnson along with Ariel Taylor are the cause of the Jefferson county school fire three years ago that cause the tragic death of Sabrina Carlson?" The reporter asked eyeing me up and down. "Something among those lines. You're just forgetting one major detail." I inform the overly dressed woman. "Carry On then"

"Welcome back everyone! I hope you all had a great spring break. I know I did. So now I would like you all to turn to page 345 in your textbook, and get to work. I'll be at my desk if you need me." The professor said to his class walking to his desk. Dominique rolled her eyes and slam down on her desk. " first day back from break and already being handed textbook work." She mumbled to her self opening the book.
Dominique could feel her self slipping in and out of thoughts. Soon, she was falling into the world of darkness. Only to be woken moments later by the bell. Dominique knew the following Friday was something important, but she couldn't put her finger on it. Her class hours were over so she was going to meet up with her friends for lunch.
"Hey, you look shaken up." Ariel, Dominique's closest friend said looking at her with a concerned look. "Sorta, hey what's Friday again?" Dominique asked sitting down and looking through the menu. It got silent immediately, causing Dominique to look at her friends with raised eyebrows. "You don't remember?" Caleb asked with a shocked expression. Dominique looked at them both with a confused look and gave a go ahead signal with her hand. They stay quiet for a few more moments before Ariel decided to answer with caution. " it's the third year memorial of Sabrina Carlson's death." She finished looking away with guilt in her eyes. Dominique looked down mirroring the same guilt Ariel had.
The thought of forgetting such a horrific day made Dominique immediately lose her appetite. She couldn't even think straight that they kept replaying in her head.

               -Time skip Next Day-

Dominique never minded being alone. In fact she enjoyed it, but she kept having this feeling as if she wasn't alone. The dark shadows in the corner of the room made out human figures. Causing her to seal her eyes shut and force her self to sleep sleep.
Ariel could see it. Caleb could see it, and even Sarah could see it. Dominique's eyes were dark, with nothing but sleepiness. "What happened to you?" Ask Sarah EyeingDominique up and down as if she was trying to find something within her eyes.
"No sleep." Was the only reply from Dominique. "I feel you girl last night I kept having this feeling someone watching me." Ariel told the group was stuffing her mouth with the salad she was eating.

*Dream*
"Hurry everyone single file line get out!!" Screams filled the schools hallways as students evacuated the burning building. All that could be seen was the thick black smoke; along with the flashing of the fire alarms. "HELP ME" came a scream from the classroom over. Looking in was a girl. A girl that did nothing wrong to deserve the fate she was receiving. Humans are known for their selfish ways. Dominique proved it to be right when she chose to walk away from the screaming girl. Right as she made it out of the building. The entire school collapsed. Looking back one more time before time running into the woods with her other friends.

Waking up covered in sweat. Dominique couldn't help but start to cry. She brought her knees to her chest, and rock back-and-forth to try to calm her self down. " i'm so sorry Sabrina. I'm so sorry" Dominique whispers to her self. She felt the presence of something cold past her. Causing a chill to fall down her spine she knew, someone or something had heard her.

1day later
Why would anyone throw a party two days before the memorial of a girl who died? She thought to her self she couldn't help but feel like the party was not a good idea nor a safe things to do. Either way, she showed up.
