Minor change to the Bangtan dorm: they're given separate rooms instead of having roomates. A small detail but it helps covering some plotholes.

Hope you enjoy!

When Jungkook was born, his parents were shocked to find the small jet black tuffs of feather on his back. They both had big colorful wings, so why Jungkook? The doctor said it was a rare combination of recessive genes or something along those lines. Jungkook never bothered to listen to the rest of their explanation once he's older.

When Jungkook started primary school, the other kids began to bully him and his "ugly black wings". During recess they pushed his back, making him tumble face first to the playground dirt. He barely had any friends along those years, and it ended up with Jungkook promising himself that enough is enough.

When Jungkook started middle school, he already started binding. By the first day of his new school, his wings were tied close to his back and buried beneath his uniform. It wasn't too uncommon, hiding one's wing. Jungkook knows some people in his school who also hides their wings – usually for religious purposes, or privacy, or whatever other reason. Point is, no one else needed to see Jungkook's wings and there's that.

When Jungkook was fifteen, he joined Bangtan.

Ah, the Bulletproof Boys. Well known for their good-looking members and their big beautiful and colorful wings. He thought he'd be okay, that he'd fit in just fine with these six other boys. And he did! He really did...

...Somewhat.

Jungkook woke up to the sunlight gently brushing his cheeks.

And the sound his door being slammed profusely.

The boy groaned and turned to his side. When the knocking continued, he huffed and got off his bed, stretching. The knocking hasn't stopped.

"Alright! Alright, hyung! I'm awake!" His door was being knocked on so hard, it might as well fall off its hinges. Which really isn't all that impossible considering it's Namjoon.

"Took you long enough," came the rapper's muffled voice. "Now can I come in? I left my charger in there and my phone's at a threatening 4%."

Jungkook rolled his eyes and presumed to do the binding. As much as he loves the others, he was eternally grateful that they were given separate rooms at the dorm, therefore he can safely take off and put on his binder as long as he locks the door. Although it doesn't really keep the members from invading each other's rooms for snuggles (ie Taehyung) or just hanging out.

"Be out in a minute, hyung."

"Just hurry up. Seokjin hyung's making breakfast, too."

Jungkook's hands moved skillfully around his chest. After years of binding his wings, he can do it blindfolded. Not a minute later he unlocked his door, greeted by their leader and his phone, his wings nestled nicely on his sides.

Namjoon's wings are those of an eagle. Brown and powerful and white around its tips. And it's ridiculously strong – Jungkook swears he can lift a dumbbell with those things. They spread big and wide with pride, and whenever Namjoon puffs up his chest his wings grow menacingly large with him. Large enough to scare off anyone who dares to mess with his friends. Although they're just as clumsy as he is. Namjoon's wings hold the record for most items accidentally tipped off edges and group members hit in the face during dance practice. But Jungkook loves him nonetheless. Nothing feels safer than being behind those powerful eagle wings, protected by their leader.
