Ch.63 The Devil Comes Out

MARISSA'S POV.

I haven't been feeling like myself lately.

I'm really happy I have my brother and sister back but, Diego.

I wish things didn't turn out the way they did.

I've been thinking a lot about everything.

Like, moving into a house with just me and Alex.

Or maybe with Monique and her baby.

I don't really know.

Ever since Alex was born I've never lived alone with him.

It's not like I don't want to I'll be happy spending all day everyday with just Alex.

But I don't like to be alone.

I get lonely and bored.

And this whole situation with going to court with Diego next week has got me really fucked up.

I honestly don't know if I'd lose custody of Alex.

I mean, Diego's his dad.

He can take care of him financially.

And I KNOW Diego would get his own place just so he can win.

But then again, if I did mention Diego put his hands on me he'd forsure not win.

But, I don't think I'd have the heart to do that.

Work and taking care of Alex has been keeping me busy which is good.

I'm at work right now but I'm about to leave.

My Tia Vanessa has been watching Alex for me while I'm at work since the very first time I went back to work after Alex was born.

I really appreciate that too. And of course I pay her.

I yawn as I drive over there cause it's about 9 o'clock and I'm exhausted.

I usually don't work this late but it's just one of those days.

I get there and knock on the door.

"Hey mija what are you doing here?" Vanessa asks opening the door.

"To pick up Alex?" I ask confused.

"Diego picked him up" she says. "What??" I ask.

"He said you told him to pick up Alex cause you were working late" she says.

FUCK. I forgot I never told Vanessa we even broke up.

I say nothing else and just go back to my car.

My heart is pounding.

Where the fuck is my son.

I drive to Diego's house and run off the car and start pounding at the door.

"Hey what-" Anthony answers but I don't even let him finish his sentence.

"Where's Diego and Alex??" I ask him.

"He went to Lethal's pad with Trigger to kick it, he took Alex with him" he says.

I run back to my car and speed to Lethal's house.

When I get there I see Diego drinking with Lethal, Jesus, Andrew, Spex, and guess who else.

Fucking KARINA.

Yup, his ex Karina.

I get off the car and go straight up to Diego.

But I can instantly tell he's drunk.
