My mom stared at me, dumbfounded, "They are his favorite, aren't they?" She said thoughtfully, and I wanted to ask what was the reason for that, but decided to drop it. It was probably nothing.
"He's not even here, mom." I reminded her. He's probably kicking it off with Nurse Junhee right now. I made a disgusted face while dismissing that unwelcome thought from my mind, and my mom cleared her throat before saying, "Honey, they are that nice guy's favorite too" She winked, then pointed behind me with her chin.
I turned around and there he was, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest, wearing the same outfit he wore to school today, black biker jacket and black jeans. I could feel my cheeks burning from how furiously I was blushing.
"You're here." I pointed out the obvious. What was he doing here, in my house?!
"Mrs. Park was kind enough to let me in from the backdoor -he grinned at my mom- since I saw Yunji walking in from the front one," He explained, but wasn't finished yet, "Hello, Sarang" He finally said. And I couldn't control the little fangirl in me, he even remembered my name! Of course he did, silly! He basically called you a model in chemistry class! My subconscious reminded me, and I found myself nodding in agreement.
"Sehun," I said his name out loud, "But, what are you doing here?" Geez. If that didn't sound rude, then I don't know what does. Thankfully, he only chuckled before backing up from the wall he was leaning against.
"I came here to get something of mine back," He said. Get what back?
"Would you two like to talk in private? The living room, maybe?" My mom interrupted, and I turned around to find her apron covered with frosting and rolled my eyes inwardly. She was probably doing this for her own sake so Sehun wouldn't have to see her looking so messy.
"Okay, mom" My voice came out high as a sign of being nervous, and I turned back to Sehun with a smile which reflected my inner feelings; nervous x nervous.
I didn't even bother to ask how he knew where I lived since it was probably a normal thing nowadays to give out other people's addresses without their consultation first, but I didn't mind that since it was Sehun who showed up.
"Lead the way," He said, and put his hand out in front of him in a 'ladies first' gesture.
I led him into our living room where we both sat across from each other on the sofa.
"So," I started, "You're here to get something of yours back, which would be..." I trailed off, Sehun's face became only inches away from mine as he suddenly leaned forward and my mind went blank while my breathing got stuck in my lungs when his hand came up to touch my face, and my first reaction was to close my eyes...But, nothing happened.
When I opened them again, his hand has stopped mid-air and he looked a bit hesitant while embarrassment washed over me. Why did I have to close my eyes?!
"I-" He placed his hand back on his knee and looked ahead so I was facing his profile while he cleared his throat before continuing, "I didn't mean to scare you" He said so softly, and it came out almost as a whisper, "I just wanted to -is your cheek okay?" He asked, pointing at it. Scare me? he most certainly did not scare me! I felt my heart aching for some reason, he only wanted to examine my cheek?
"Yes, it's better now, thank you" He was still not looking at me, the confident Sehun was now crouched forward, picking at his nails and softly rocking back and forth.
