Hello, hello. Another month and no story updates from me, naturally. BUT THAT'S ABOUT TO CHANGE. Read on to find out why.

What I've been up to...

Happy Leo season, everybody. And by that I mean what an unfortunate turn of events re the weather. Remember last month when I said the summer was going well, not too hot, lots of gray days? Yeah. I spoke FAR too soon.

So besides utterly melting every single time I step outdoors, not too much has changed. My life is boring, as you'll soon learn. Hopefully next month I'll have some good news to share, but I don't want to jinx anything until I know for sure one way or another.

My birthday is next month on the 10th, which means this is the last newsletter I'll post as a 23-year-old (yikes). Next time you hear from me here I'll be 24 and probably crying about it. When I first joined Wattpad I was 15. Let that sink in.

I don't want to take up any more of your time, so let's jump to the next portion.

What I've been loving...

In the music world, Julia Michaels released her EP called "Inner Monologue pt. II" and it was as amazing as I hoped it would be. Falling for Boys is iconic, 17 is iconic, Priest is iconic. Truthfully I love all of them, I just had to stop myself from typing out every single track. Falling For Boys is probably my all-time favorite, but just know that I love them all. Her show in November is going to be amazing.

Sabrina Carpenter also dropped an EP called "Singular, Act II", and it's also amazing? In My Bed was just the tip of the ice burg. I'm Fakin', Tell Em, and Looking at Me are probably my next three favorites. Also I don't remember if I mentioned this in last month's post, but her song with Alan Walker and Farruko called On My Way? INCREDIBLE. I'm obsessed.

Lastly, I know it's been out for a while now, but I can't stop listening to Katy Perry's Never Really Over. Something about it is so catchy, but it didn't hit me until about two weeks ago how much I love it.

Moving right along, I'm still obsessing over season 6 of The 100. If y'all don't watch this show, you really should. We just keep on winning. There are two episodes left until the season is over and I'm not ready to live in a world where I'm not watching season 6.

I also binged season 3 of Stranger Things and cried like a whole baby at the end. That was not cool, Duffer brothers. Not cool.

As for books, my three most recent reads are Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson, I Wish You All the Best by Mason Deaver, and Caraval by Stephanie Garber (I am currently reading Legendary!). I LOVED Sorcery of Thorns so much and am devastated that it's a stand-alone. I Wish You All the Best was actually for research! But I ended up thoroughly enjoying it as well. And then Caraval was magical from start to finish. I aspire to create a world as intricate and beautiful as Legend's island.

What I've been working on...

Okay, to wrap this month's post up: I've been working on two projects! One of them is Skyfell, of course, and the other one I won't be announcing until I know for sure whether I'll be posting it here or not. If it goes nowhere, I'm not going to post it. So we'll see about that one.

But Skyfell is going really well. The first chapter is going to go up as soon as this post has been published. Keep in mind that it's part of a rough first draft and will possibly be all over the place, but I did my best to make it coherent, and hopefully you enjoy it. Future drafts will not be as messy, but unless I REALLY publish it, you won't get to read those.

I still don't have an updating schedule situated yet, but once I do, I'll let you all know. Until then, they'll be sporadic, but *hopefully* about once a week or once every two weeks, just until I get going.

As for Elf Bites, no, I haven't exactly written anything for it yet. But I do have the next few chapters outlined and ready to go. That means that I just need three hours to sit down and write the chapter, and it'll be ready. I just need to do it. I've been a little distracted by other things, but I promise it will come soon.

Thank you for reading this month! For the next week (until Thursday, August 1), I'll be actively responding to comments here. Let's chat. (:

(Also I said I would include visual aids this month, but I didn't because I'm garbage. I'll do better next month. I still have to work tonight and wanted to get this up at a reasonable time.)
