"I'm glad you told me," Thea says quietly, handing Awsten his phone back after reading over the messages.

"I knew at first I was gonna but then I thought about not telling you," Awsten admits hesitantly, "but...you said I'm not alone and I really don't wanna be alone.  I don't wanna do this on my own, please.  I can't.  I need you here on this with me."

"I'm here, I promise," she assures him, "through and through.  I know it's hard but you don't ever have to be nervous to tell me things.  I wanna get to a point where you feel safe coming to me with everything, and I'm here to work to that point with you.  However long it takes."

"It's not that I don't feel safe," he mumbles before deciding to just be honest here.  "Okay, listen, I know that this, you...me telling you things, I know all of that is safe.  It's just...knowing it and actually accepting it and feeling it aren't the same.  I'm getting there, I know I am.  If I wasn't getting there, I wouldn't have told you.  It's a work in progress, which I know I've said about a few things already but, y'know, I'm a work in progress overall, I guess.  I'm on track, at least I think I am."

"You are," she tells him with a nod, "you're doing so good.  Trust me, the progress you've made is amazing and I'm so proud of you for everything you've done so far.  And I'm with you every step of the way along the road, okay?  It's fine to be scared but you gotta know I am here for you, whatever it is."

"I know," he mutters, reaching out to hold her hand.  He kisses her palm before interlocking their hands.  "And I'm so unbelievably grateful for that, for you.  I love you so fucking much."

"I love you too, Aws, so much," she tells him, giving a small smile before refocusing on their current issue.  "We have to decide what we're gonna do here.  You could get in trouble for what you said to her.  We don't want that."

"But we gotta find a way to keep her away from us," he adds on, a worried frown forming.  "Get the security cameras installed sooner than we were gonna.  Rush everything that we can do to keep her away without involving anyone else...and she can't know that you know."

"Okay," Thea replies with a nod before changing the subject.  "We should head down for dinner now.  We gotta eat kinda quick so your family doesn't miss their flight home."

"You wanna come to the airport with us?" Awsten inquires as they start heading downstairs where his parents and Gracie are aw-ing over the twins.  "We can take both cars, I'll drive my parents and sister and you can take the twins?"

"D you want me to go?" Thea asks hesitantly, not wanting to invade.

"Please," he mumbles before quickly adding on, "only if you want to, of course.  But, in the least weird sounding way, I want you to go everywhere with me."

"You don't have to come," Awsten mumbles, shifting anxiously in place.  "I can go alone."

"You're not going alone," Emily dismisses, rolling her eyes before quickly going soft.  "You might have a concussion, babe, it's probably not even safe for you to be driving.  I'm taking you."

"I don't think I have a concussion, Ems," he tries to convince her, "you didn't...I mean, I didn't, uh...it's probably nothing.  Maybe I don't even gotta go—"
