Day of the Eclipse

He turned the knob and swung the door open. I quickly slipped my hands back into my handcuffs. I had previously freed myself but failed to escape when the Hunter came back in unexpectedly and injected me with another dose of silver.

My eyes widened in shock.

"Can't be.." I whispered to myself.

"Morning, princess." He said, his hazel eyes darkening at the sight of me. "How are you feeling?" He asked, stepping closer to me and placing his warm hands on my cheek.

I shook my head away at the touch, my hair falling onto my face, unable to move it due to my chained hands.

"I asked you a question," He said, and pushed the strands of hair out of my face, exposing me to my reality.

"Logan?" I said in almost a whisper and he let out a laugh.

"I knew I should have kept you as my mate," He began and sat on the edge of the bed, near my feet. "Who would have known that an innocent she-wolf could possess so much power." He smiled.

I couldn't speak. I just watched him with my mouth ajar.

"You're a little taken aback arent you?" He chuckled, "I know, but it'll all be over soon. I'll have to leave here eventually.." He smiled and placed his right left above his left leg. He was so calm.

"You knew this entire time..about my gift?" I asked him.

"No. When we first met, I had already been in contact with the Hunter but I wasn't really trusting of his theory." He began and I squinted my eyes in complete hatred.

My wolf ran around furiously. I hadn't heard from her or felt her presence until right now, till this very moment. She desperately wanted out of here.

She wanted him dead. And I did too.

"I didn't quite believe him when he told me about the True Mate curse, but it wasn't until the night of the ball that I noticed your eyes change to gold.." He trailed on.

I remembered that day. It was the night that I had shared an awkward ride with Cyrus and Sierra and made our way to the ceremony ball in MoonCrest. Logan had not invited me due to 'Pack duties' but it all made sense now.

His time 'away' was spent with the Hunter.

It was the same night that Cyrus had marked me and kidnapped me.

"You and Cyrus shared the same gold eye colour, and when I finally realised, I was beyond ecstatic! But before I could claim you I knew that the two of you needed to be mated in order to ignite the curse. So thankfully, he found interest in you."

"That's why you were so calm when you visited the first time.." I said to him.

"Indeed. There was no point in fighting it. I needed you two to be together, and once I was sure that the Blood bond was completed, thanks to the oblivious Alpha Damian, I put my plan in action. And trust me when I say, that it wasn't easy." He chuckled at the end, "Those rogues are horrid to even look at but I had to do what I needed for the greater good."
