"Wow." Hiccup said, astonished. "I haven't seen ice like this in a few years." He remembered how Berk had gone through this terrible winter storm where the whole island was covered in this kind of ice, minus the pretty designs that lingered inside. He shivered at the thought.
He continued walking until he saw an even bigger entrance.
Curious, he continued to walk. When he went through the opening, his eyes lied upon an amazing sight.
"Oh my gods." He whispered to himself.
He saw a big sanctuary filled with trees, plants, waterfalls, and even snow. Different kinds of birds and bugs like butterflies and dragonflies flew around. The trees were greener than the ones outside of the cave and the waterfalls seemed to come from nowhere.
The giant area was lit by something coming from above, which was weird considering it was pitch black dark outside.
"This is incredible." Hiccup said, looking at his surroundings.
His attention was soon brought away from the marvelous sight when he saw movement from the corner of his eye.
His head quickly snapped to the direction of the movement and he put his sword up. He began to slowly walk towards it.
"Hello?" He asked, proceeding with caution. "I didn't mean to intrude, I wasn't aware someone else was here."
Was there really someone else on the island with him?
He kept walking until he reached a small opening in the rock.
"Again with the small openings?" He said to himself.
Cautiously, he went inside.
With his sword at the ready position, he slowly walked forward and turned the corner.
He froze.
His eyes were glued to what he saw before him. It was almost as if someone had turned him into stone, for he didn't move a muscle.
He dropped his sword on the ground, causing a loud sound to echo through the cavern.
That's when the figure that stood far from him turned its head to look at him.
Hiccup stood in awe. He didn't know what to say. He was speechless.
"Elsa?" He asked, barely letting the word escape his lips. He couldn't believe it, was it actually her?
The figure turned completely towards him.
Hiccup's mouth opened a little bit as he took a few steps closer.
This caused the figure to step back.
"Hi-Hiccup." A female voice said. She took another step back. Hiccup continued to walk towards her.
"Look, I know you probably have a lot of questions but let me answer some of them for you before you ask them." The woman said. "I'm sure you're wondering why I haven't gone back home, and the truth is, I don't know. I want to, well I wanted to, but I really had no way of going back. I didn't have my dragon, I didn't have a boat, I didn't have anything." The woman kept rambling, but it didn't stop Hiccup from walking closer and closer to her.
She continued to step back with every step he took forward.
"You're also probably wondering why I left and I also don't know why I left because I didn't really leave I was taken so I didn't have a choice. I know I should've come back to help you take care of Amelia, but like I said earlier I had no way of coming back."
