Hi everybody! Thank you all so much for reading my story! i love you all. I hope you enjoy this chapter. Please comment, vote and share!!
The day after I left home I was still upset about what happened. I wasn’t upset because I regretted my choice, I just feel a little heartbroken for having to leave my parents behind. Well, not my mother I’m still keeping in touch, I texted her last night before Harry and I fell asleep. Honestly, the thing that is bothering me, the most, has to be the fact I had to leave my father. I know he was being unfair, I am mad about that. I guess it’ll just take some time to get used to.
Eleanor and I are standing in the food court at the mall in line waiting to order. Eleanor decided that it might be a good idea to have a little girl time after our shift was over at the diner so I could get my mind off of things. Or her excuse was to have something nice to wear to Harry’s boxing match this weekend; however I know the true reason.
“Here I’ll get our drinks” I offered grabbing our cups off the counter and walked to the soda machine. I filled them up and placed the lid on and grabbed two straws before turning around to head to our table. I scanned my eyes around the small tables then saw Eleanor placing our tray down in one of the middle tables. I walked over and placed our cups down, placing Eleanor’s in front of her.
“Thanks” Eleanor answered sweetly giving me a smile and she ripped off the paper and placed her straw in her drink.
I glanced at our tray and immediately smiled. “Yay, you ordered my favorite food!” I said happily picking up the small box of McDonald’s nuggets and fries. Eleanor giggled.
“Well, it’s wasn’t that hard to figure out since every time we all eat at McDonald’s you eat the same thing. Plus, sometimes Harry gives you some of his food cause you give him your best puppy dog eyes.” She smiled taking a bit out of her burger.
I laughed. “Okay, I get it” I said and began to eat.
After we were done eating we stayed there a little while longer just to rest our legs. I glanced around taking a drink from my soda scanning the windows of the stores around us. i placed my soda back down on the table and pulled out my phone from my purse.
I unlocked it and saw that Harry hasn’t texted or called me. I glanced up and looked at Eleanor. “Hey El, have you heard from Harry?”
She shook her head. “No, Why?”
I shrugged. “I don’t know, maybe I’m just overreacting but it’s just not like him to not call or text me.” Maybe what happened last night is bothering him, I hope not.
“He’s probably just hanging with the boys. You know how they can be” Eleanor said waving her hand at me signaling me to just shrug it off. I nodded.
“Okay are you ready to go?” she asked
I nodded. “Yea. I’ll throw our trash away. “ I got up from my chair and placed my purse on my shoulder grabbing the tray while Eleanor grabbed our bags.
I walked to the trash can and dumped our trash in before setting the tray on the stack on top. I glanced up and I felt the air got caught in my throat. He was standing there leaning against the wall looking straight at us. No, it can’t be him. I quickly looked down trying to regain my breathing.
“Hey Elizabeth are you okay?” Eleanor said placing her hand on my shoulder. I looked back and he was no longer there. I turned my head and looked at Eleanor.
I gave her a smile, the best smile that I could manage. “Yea, I’m fine. I just thought I saw someone I know” I shrugged.
“Let’s go” I added, trying to change the subject and grabbed my bags from her hands.
