"I don't think that's a good idea."
"Come on. I just wanna spend a little bit more time with you," he said, putting his hands on my waist.
I put my hand on his chest and lightly pushed him away from me. "Fine."
I got in my car and waited for him to pull out of the parking lot so I could follow him to his hotel. I know I shouldn't be going, but it's obvious that I don't make good life choices.
We got in his room and I lied on his bed. He lied beside me and looked at me.
"I can't believe I finally got you in my bed," he said, grabbing me & pulling me into him.
I laughed and slipped out of his embrace. He stood up and took his shirt off and I just admired his body & tattoos. He lied back down beside me and smirked.
"I know you like men with tattoos," he said.
I don't like them, I love them.
"And exactly how do you know that?" I asked.
"You said it in an interview once." He smiled and it made me smile.
I don't know how it happened but all of a sudden, Colin was hovering over me. I couldn't help but stare at his chest and bite my bottom lip.
"You like what you see Bri?" he asked, looking down at me.
Why am I so intrigued by this? I mean for fuck's sake, I've seen him naked.
I couldn't really do anything but trace the tattoo on his chest, making him smile lightly. He moved closer to me and kissed me, closing the gap between us. He slowly ran his hand up my skirt and tugged at my underwear.
"Are we actually gonna do it this time?" he whispered onto my lips.
"That's up to you," I whispered back.
He pulled my shirt off and started kissing me again. He kissed my neck and I closed my eyes, wishing I hadn't. Every time I closed my eyes, I saw Blake. He was the one touching me, he was the one kissing me and he was the one I was thinking about. And that's when I realized I'm still in love with Blake.
As soon as I came to my senses, I had to stop what I was about to do.
"I can't do this. It wouldn't be right."
I got off the bed, put my shirt & shoes on and got my keys. Right as I was about to open the door, he grabbed my arm.
"What's going on? Why are you leaving?"
That's all I could say before a tear rolled down my cheek and I left his room. I went to my car and sat there for a while, thinking about my hoe-ish behavior.
In the process of moving on, I decided to give Crystal another chance. We went out this morning, but I instantly regretted it. She somehow managed to get more boring than the first time I met her.
After the horrid "date," I went back home and went straight out to the basketball court. I shot around for a while before my phone vibrated.
Jake Miller: Guess who I saw leaving Colin Kaepernick's hotel?
me: I don't care
Jake Miller: You will when you find out who it was
me: Ok who?
Jake Miller: Briana
I know I don't have the right to be upset, but shit, I was. I decided to call her to see what's up, but I'll try not to make it seem obvious.
I dialed her number and it just rang. On the last ring, she finally picked up.
her: [crying] Blake, I can't talk right now
me: Bri, what's wrong?
her: nothing. I just...I gotta go
She hung up and I just looked down at my phone. I hate that she's upset about something and there's nothing I can do about it.
I got my keys and left to go to her house in hopes that she's home. I pulled up in her driveway, but her car wasn't there. I decided to wait for her and hoped she wouldn't be too long.
About ten minutes later, she pulled up in the driveway. I know she probably doesn't wanna see or talk to me, but I just wanna see if she's okay.
I got out and saw that she had been crying and judging by how red & puffy her eyes were, she was crying a lot.
"What are you doing here?" she asked quietly, but calmly.
"I came to see if you were okay," I said carefully.
"I'm fine," she said walking to her front door.
"Bri, why were you crying?" I asked, walking behind her.
"Personal issues," she said, opening the door, "did you wanna come in?"
I was a little shocked, but I followed her into the house. I sat in the living room, waiting for her to come out of her bedroom. She came out and went in the kitchen, then came in the living room and handed me a bottle of water.
"So what's up?" she asked, "I was kinda thrown off by your call."
"Well someone told me something, but I just wanted to ask you," I said.
"And what is that?"
"They said they saw you, today, with Kaepernick," I said slowly.
Her eyes started to water up and she rolled her eyes. What's going on with her?
"So I guess you wanna know if I'm seeing him?" she said. She spoke casually and her voice was a little shaky.
"I'm not seeing him," she said, sounding a little exhausted, "we were just...hangin' out."
I just nodded. She wiped her eyes and looked down.
"Briana, what's going on with you?"
"Nothing. I'm just having a bad day."
I know she's lying because she always plays with her fingers when she's lying. Kinda like she's doing now.
"I know you're lying Bri, but I'm not gonna bother you about it. Even though we're not together, I want you to know you can talk to me if you need to," I said sincerely.
"Thanks," she said quietly.
"I don't wanna make this more uncomfortable for you, so I'm gonna go," I said.
She looked up and nodded. I got up to walk to the door and she followed me.
"Oh yeah, Ford wanted me to let you know he misses you," I said when I got to the door.
Her eyes began to water again and she smiled. "Tell him I miss him too."
I started going back to the car, but she called me back.
"Yeah?" I said, turning around.
She looked like she really wanted to say something, but she didn't. She furrowed her eyebrows and bit her bottom lip nervously.
I looked at her skeptically before getting in the car. The whole ride back to the house I thought about Briana and that look on her face.
What was she gonna say?
