Amber slowly walked back to her office. She stopped for a cup of coffee on the way and sipped it while her mind began to race. “Just who does this guy think he is?” She said to herself as she tried to make herself angry.

A slight smile crossed her face and then she took another sip and forced the smile into a frown. She slowly entered her office and shut the door.

I haven’t been on a vacation in ten years and now I am supposed to take one? She thought. “I don’t have any clothes, except my business suits. What am I going to do?”

She popped up her laptop and began searching for a bikini and some other clothes. She realized that she didn’t have any clothes except the business attire that she always wore. Before she knew it she had changed the web page and had convinced herself to order another business outfit that would probably fit just like all the rest of her clothes. Loose but functional.

After ordering Her thoughts immediately turned to fear as she realized that she hadn’t been on so much as a date in the three years since her divorce. He left her claiming that she was always at the office. While he was right, screwing his secretary certainly didn’t help their marriage either.

Thinking about her ex husband always helped her get angry. She wondered what her husband would think about her being photographed with James Williams.

That thought put another smile on her face. And then she quickly thought about how great it would be to lie on a beach with the wind blowing in her hair. She thought about sitting on a beach chair with a copy of Nora Roberts’ latest novel in her hands with the smell and taste of her favorite drink.

She could almost felt the wind. When the reality of the situation hit her. This was not just a trip, it was a trip with a man.

Her thoughts immediately went back to James Williams. She acted like she didn’t know who he was, but you really didn’t have any choice but to know him. It is true he hadn’t had a hit in almost ten years, but it is also true that television commercials and radio plugs all have his crooning as a regular part of them.

And then, although she had only dated one black guy in her life, she felt a strange attraction to the novelty and exotic nature of these men.

But James Williams? Yeah he was attractive, but he was also the biggest womanizer that she knew. Even worse than her ex husband. Just this past week James was in the tabloids with somebody different than he was in the tabloids with the week before.

But Amber couldn’t help but ease her hand over to her computer keyboard and type in the name “James Williams.” She had done it before. And there was a picture of his well toned body. His biceps popped at her. His muscular legs called her. She couldn’t help but look at the package that was hidden beneath a tight fitting short that gave her a great promise of paradise.

Before she knew it, she became slightly moist just thinking about him. Amber then remembered something her best friend always tells her, “You need to have sex. Not make love, but screw.” It had been so long, and Amber’s thoughts started to take her to that place with James in her mind when she again pulled back. She changed the web page.

Changing the page, however didn’t change her thoughts. She knew that she fantasized about him over phone calls in the past. She wondered what it would be like to be going to Panama, Aruba, Hawaii, or even motel 6 with him. She began to think about if it would really be such a bad thing to have a one night stand with this man.

She popped up the screen again and there was James Williams standing next to Karin Melody, the beautiful actress from television and the movies.

Amber looked and admitted, they do make a great couple. She looked at a few more pages and saw James with a a few other young models and movie starts.

Amber then really wondered if she is making a big deal out of nothing. She did exercise three times a week, but she was not a movie star. In fact she didn’t think she could hold a candle to those whose job is only to be beautiful.

She then pushed all that out of her mind telling herself that she not only didn’t want to go, it was borderline harassment for him to even try to get her to go on this trip.

“I need to sue him not fantasize about him.” Amber said to herself as she shut off the computer.”

A knock came to the door. Amber looked up. It was Melissa. “So what are you gonna do?”

“Mr. James Williams is gonna have to find his women some other kind of way. This is not a dating agency. You call him and tell him that I am not going to follow through on this arrangement.”

Melissa shut the door and talked with her voice down, “Are you sure? I mean the company can’t afford to lose this contract and you really do need this vacation.”

“What are you saying? I should go sell myself to make a few dollars?”

“Come on girl, you know I ain’t saying that. I just think we need to think about this.”

“I thought about it and I ain’t going. Call him and tell him that he has two tickets to Panama and that I will not be taking one of them.”

“Are you sure about this?

“Call him and now let me get back to work.”

Melissa stood up and walked to the door, she then turned around and asked, “Can I go instead?” Melissa said.

Amber looked at Melissa.

“Dang, I’m just kidding, OK, OK. I’ll call him.” Melissa said as she walked out of the door.
