~Chapter One~

THIRD PERSON
Y/N walked down the hallways of Hawkins High School. Her books were clutched tight to her chest as she pushed past the multiple people crowding the area. It was easy for her to get around. She was invisible to everyone.
"Hey look, it's the freak." Tommy H called out. Well not everyone. Y/N just tried to focus on where she was going, until her books were knocked clean out of her arms.
"Watch where youre going next time. Freak." Both Tommy H and Carol just snickered as they sauntered by you frantically trying to pick up all your papers and books.
"What douches. I swear if he does anything at Steve's party this weekend, im gonna punch him in the face." Nancy sighs as she passes you the last book, before walking with you towards your locker.

"Ya know Nanc i would love to join in on that but i cant." Y/N name sighes, closing her locker.
"What do you mean you cant? Dont tell me youre not coming?"
"Im sorry. But i promised Mrs Wheeler, Mrs Sinclair, Mrs Byers, Hopper, Max's Parents and my mum that i would watch the kids this weekend cause they're having a sleepover at Dustin and I's. And plus, parties aren't my thing." Nancy just rolled her eyes, "So you're ditching me, to hang with your brother and his friends whom one happens to be my brother as well? Wow i thought you loved me." Nancy joked as the two girls walked down the hallway.
"I dont see what the problem is. You've got Steve. You wouldn't even know i was there."
"Whats this i hear about me?"
"Hi Steve." Nancy said before she was pulled into a quick make out session with the king of Hawkins High. Y/N judt looked around before whispering a small goodbye and walking off to her first class. Nancy pulled away about to say something to Y/N but stopped herself as she realised you werent by her side anymore.
"Come in Nanc lets get to class." Steve smiled before they walked in the opposite direction.

Skip through the day to lunch
Y/N pushed through to her locker, placing in the code before a click was heard. The brunette grabbed her bag and placed her books in it before shutting it and heading towards the enterance of the school.
Before she made it out the door, a hand on her arm pulled her back.
"Where are you going?"
"Im skipping the rest of the day Nanc. I have to go pick the kids up anyway. They finished early."
"Oh ok. Um can we talk first?"
"Sure."
"So um Steve and i just broke up." Nancy mumbled.
"What happened?"
"I dont know i just got really mad and told him that our relationship was bullshit and then we argued and then i broke up with him."
"Do you regret it?"
"No. I- i was telling the truth. I didnt want to hurt him but it just happened."
"Its ok. So instead tomorrow do you wanna come over and hang with me and the children?"
"Actually im going to go to Indiana eith Johnathan. We may have found evidence."
"Oh. Ok thats cool. Well i really gotta go. Bye Nanc."
"Bye Y/N."

The brunette hopped out of her car, walking straight towards the office.
"Hi. Im hear to collect Dustin Henderson, Will Byers, Lucas Sinclair and Maxine Mayfield."
"Im sorry but they've already been picked up."
"Oh. Oh thats right. I forgot my mum was picking them up. Well thanks anyway." Y/N walked straight to the car grabbing the radio from under her seat.
"Dustin? Do you Copy?"
No reply.
"Dustin? Do you Copy? I swear to god."
"Y/N? Sorry im hear i was just collecting pizza." Dustin's voice rang through the small device.
"What the hell?! Where are you guys? Who the heck pick you up? And is everyone there?" Dustin quickly laughed before answering your many questions.
"We are at our house. Steve picked us up. He's sitting on our couch. And yes everyone is- oh shit." Her head immediately shot up.
"Whst happened? What did you do?"
"Nothing. Well something. Could you maybe go pick El up?"
"You forgot El?!? Good one guys. Look i'll be back soon. Do not leave the house and do not open the door for anyone unless its me."
"Got it." Dustin said through the static before Y/N turned off her walkie talkie and drove out to Hoppers cabin.

At Hopper's cabin
Y/N quickly tapped the secret code on the wooden door of the small cabin. Soon after a few clicks could be heard before the door swung open showing a dissapointed El.
"You're late." Was all El said as she picked up her bag and walked towards Y/N'S car.
"I know i am and im so sorry but i have a good explanation. I went to pick up the boys but Steve had already picked them up but i didnt know that. Im sorry." Y/N said all while turning the car on and driving back to her house.
"Who is Steve? Is he your boyfriend?" El asked looking at the Brunette.
"Boyfriend? Oh god no. He dated Nancy. You know the one who tried defeating that demogorgan? Anyway no he's not my boyfriend. Never has been and most likely never will be." A sigh escaped her lips as she turned down the street.
"What do you mean most likely? Do you like him?" El questioned, watching Y/N as she turned the wheel.
"Do i like him? Um well i- i-. Ugh yes. I do but that doesnt matter. Oh would you look at that. We're here." The brunette quickly unplugged her seatbelt and walked to the front door, Eleven following. She did her secret knock and soon the door open to reveal all 5 kids but a dazed looking steve sitting on the couch.
"What happened to him?" Y/N asked as she threw her keys onto the counter.
"We dont really know. He just told us about how loves not real then he went and grabbed some beers from his car and started  drinking them." Lucas replied as all eyes trained onto a half conscious Steve.
"Ok guys. I'll put some pizza on and take care of him while you guys go do whatever."
"Thats fine with me. Bye sis." Dustin said as they all walked off in the direction of his room a chorus of 'bye Y/N' being heard from each child.

"Hey Steve."
"Hey Y/N." Steve slurred as he went to take another sip from his beer can.
"Hey hey why dont we slow down on the alcohol?" Y/N sighed as she took the half full beer can from the drunk boys grip.
"You know love isnt real?"
"You wanna talk about it?"
"She told me it was all bullshit. She told me thst i was bullshit and that our feelings were bullshit. And she did it infront of everyone." Steve said as he sighed.
"Its gonna be ok. Im here if you wanna talk. We can go back to being best friends if you want. But you cant let it get to you. Dont drink yourself stupid cause some girl broke up with you. You might even find someone better in the future who knows. Just dont hurt yourself Steve."
"Wow Y/N" *burps* "that was really sweet and motivational. I might go home now. Thank you" *burps* "and can we be best friends? That'd be so coooool."
"Oh no you're not going home. You, my drunk friend, are going to stay in the spare room. You are way to wasted to even walk in a straight line." Y/N sighed before getting up and getting the pizza out of the oven.
"GUYS PIZZA." a herd of loud steps could be heard as each six children ran into the room collecting a plate full before returning to Dustin's room.
"Ooh pizza? I want some pizza." Steve slurred as he tried to stand up off the couch but fell down in the process.
Y/N giggled to herself. "Yes Steve you get your pizza. Here you go." Steve hiccuped taking the plate and going straight to chomping on the pizza. Y/N smiled before turning on the tv. What an eventful day.
