The next two periods go by pretty quick but I find myself nervous for some reason. I know I won'e be alone, I'll be with Benji but I didn't talk to him as much as I talked to Addy and Syd.

When I walk into my seventh period classroom, Benji waves and smiles at me.

"There's an empty seat next to me," He smiles as I sit down. "I already told the teacher that you'll be sitting here and she has no problem with it.

"Okay," I say as I set my backpack down. "Thanks."

"Yeah. So why did you move here again?" He looks at me curiously.

"Oh, um, my parents divorced," I say looking down at the pencil in my hand. I roll it between my fingers. "My mom and I needed to get away from him."

Benji gives me an apologetic smile but he doesn't ask anymore questions. The last bell rings signaling the end of class. I, of course, am completely lost because I got here in the middle of a unit the class had been working on for months.

I must have looked confused because Benji leans over and says, "Don't worry, I'll help you catch up." He smiles and I thank him.

He hands me a packet of notes and tells me to copy them all down and that's how I spend seventh period.

"Right after school we're all going over to Addy's house if you want to come," He smiles. "Me, Syd, Cayman, and me, obviously," He laughs.

"Oh," I pause. My mom is working a double tonight and I don't wand to be alone. "Sure. Is that okay with Addy and everyone else?"

The bell rings and I start to gather my things. "Oh, yeah! They love you," Benji slings his backpack over his shoulder.

We walk out of the classroom and into the parking lot. "Who's car is this?" I say when we stop in front of a little, white, beat-up car.

"Cayman's. He picks everyone up in the mornings and we usually hangout everyday after school so he drives us then, too." Benji laughs. "It's kind of a piece of shit, but he saved up for a year to get it. Plus, he's the only one of us that drives."

"Oh."

"I'm always the first one here, but they'll be here soon."

Pretty soon Addy and Cayman walk out of the school and walk towards us.

"Where's Syd?" Addy yells across the parking lot. Cayman smiles at her and grabs her hand to give her a small kiss on the back of it.

Benji points in the opposite direction where Syd's walking towards us. When they get to the car everyone gets in. I sit in the back seat between Benji and Syd. On the drive to Addy's house she turns around and looks at me.

"How was your first day?" She smiles at me. Everyone, except Cayman turns and looks at me.

"Uh, yeah. It was good." Addy smiles and turns back around pleased with my answer. "So you guys hangout everyday?"

"Most days," Syd turns to me. "Sometimes we have to study or whatever, but usually, yeah. We have a sleepover every Friday night too."

"And your parents don't care?" I ask confused. My mom would never be okay with me spending the night somewhere with a girl.

"Well, I tell my parents I'm at Syd's. Syd tells his parents he's at Cayman's. Cayman tells his parents that he's at my house. And Addy's mom works overnights on the weekends." Benji says.

Cayman pulls into a driveway in front of a small house. When he parks the car everyone gets out. "Oh," I say following them inside the house. "What do you guy usually do?"

We walk inside and down the hall to a room that I'm guessing is Addy's. She closes the door when we all get inside. "Whatever we want. We watch movies or play games or sometimes we have bonfires in the backyard." Addy sits on the bed next to Cayman and grabs his hand. Syd sits in the window seat and Benji sits in a bean bag in the corner. I look around to find a place to sit.

"Oh, here," Benji stands up and opens the closet. "There's another bean bag in here." He sets it on the floor next to his.

"Thank you," I sit down next to him.

"Let's play Hot Seat." Syd says.

"Hot Seat?" I look around.

"Oh, it's like Truth or Dare but without the dare part. Everyone asks someone a question but they have to answer it truthfully." Cayman smiles. "Syd, you go first."

"Okay, um, Addy," He gives Addy smirk. Addy rolls her eyes but sits up. "Did you and Cayman have sex in the back seat of his car." Everyone laughs.

"No! We already told you guys!" It must be an ongoing joke between them.

"We just want to make sure because we sit back there everyday, and if you did that's okay, just let me know so I can bring something to sit on," Benji laughs.

"No!" Addy laughs and leans into Cayman. "Okay, my turn. Cayman, did you cheat on that test off of me?"

Cayman laughs, "Uh-"

"Be honest," Addy laughs.

"You're just so smart-" Everyone laughs.

"I knew it!" Cayman leans down and kisses Addy's forehead.

"Jorge," Cayman turns to me. "Do you have a special someone waiting for you in Spain?" Cayman wiggles his eyebrows making me laugh.

"Not really," I laugh.

"Oh, come on. There's nobody that you were interested in over there?" Benji asks. I shake my head no and blush a little.

"Nope. Nobody," I laugh. "Benji, are you interested in anybody?" I ask unable to think of anything else to ask him.

"No, I'm not really looking for anything," Benji shrugs. "Plus, everyone at our school sucks."

"Fair," I smile at him.

"Okay, Syd," Benji looks at him. "Are you really going to have that party at your house when your dad goes out of town, or are you going to chicken out?"

"I've told you guys! It's happening!" Syd laughs.
