The reader has one quirk. But existing as one made out of two parts.

I have done this because I believe it is possible. The reader has a mixture of her parents quirks.

In a way you could say that this is like Todoroki.

The reader gets the first part of their quirk at 4 and the second one at 10. They came separately but still count as one. Her quirk has two sides, but they each tire the other out.

Say that she uses her first one to much shell barely be able to use to other seeing as she tired herself out. In training that will mean that she has to exercise both quirks so she can be able to use them both for a longer time.

If she only focuses on the first part then yes it will be better that the other but she pretty much wont be able to use her second part. This means that she has to train them equally to get the best results.
