Marc's POV
Jason stare's at me. "Wait did you mean right now?" I ask. He nods and I quickly shake my head. "Oh well I can't cuz um... My anxiety will act up and-" I rant as my breath quickens. Jason smiles softly and rests his hand on my shoulder. "It's ok. You can tell him tomorrow at school."
I sigh in relief and stare at my hands. "So...." I begin, "What now?" I ask. Jason stands up and slowly opens his door. "We can sneak you back to your house." He suggests. I quickly stand up and nod my head. He laughs and grabs my hand as he leads me down.
I frantically look around for any sign of Nate, but I can't see him. As we step outside Jason moves in front of me. "Let's go around the house." He says trying to block my view of something. I push him away and see Mathieu lean in and kiss Nathanial. My eyes widen in shock and disbelief. Jason grabs my hand and pulls me away before we sprint down the street. After we are away from them, we stop to catch our breathes. Warm hot tears stream down my face. Jason pulls me into a hug and says, " We need to get back at them." I look at him in confusion. " I know my brother. He always wants what he can't have. Which was Nate, but if we pretend to be together we can make Nate jealous and he will realize what he lost. " He explains.
" I don't think I'm comfortable with this," I say quietly. "My brother is just using him because you loved Nate. He has no real feelings for him." Jason says. "Marc... you deserve to be happy with Nate." I sigh and nod, "Ok."
