Skylar's POV

I hear a knock on the door, I look to my bedside table to see my alarm clock reading 5:58. I slither out of bed and open the door, automatically seeing Alyssa.

"Hey!" She says, a little too cheary for 6am in the morning.

"Hello." I smile, I look down and see her holding mail.

"Oh, yes, I came to talk to you and saw that the mail was being delivered so I decided to take it since I was coming up here." She blabbers, I nod and she continues. "Yeah, anyways, the Captain wanted to see you in thirty minutes."

"Okay..." I say, why couldn't he just tell me himself? "Thank you." I nod and take the mail, she walks away and I close the door, sitting back at my desk.

I look at the letter and see it's from Laura, shoot, I forgot to write to here. Dang it, she's probably so mad.

I open the letter and start reading it;

Dear Skylar,

Hey! I know you probably forgot to write, or since you're busy you don't have enough time, and that's okay. I just wanted to let you know how we're doing.

So, everyone is trying to cope the best with your absence. Eric isn't doing so well, but he has found something, well someone, Cara, to be exact. Yeah, I know, a pretty big surprise. Anyways, everyone else seems to be doing well, except for the Chief, he seems... broken? I don't know, it might just be me, but I don't know... The bigger picture is that we're all waiting for you to come back, or at least... write.

On the other hand, your, um, what's the word... 'filler in' person has came in. And guess what? They have turned out to be your sister, why have you NEVER mentioned that you have a sister? We have been together for SUCH A LONG TIME! Not only that but it turns out even Eric doesn't know, of course I don't know if the Chief does, but from what I'm reading in this... situation is that he doesn't. I thought we were passed the whole you not trusting everyone or acting cold thing?

Anyways... I hope you're doing fine, I'll see you soon!

Laura XOXO

Well, that was unexpected! My half-sister, I think, yeah, is replacing me in the hospital. Well, I don't know how many siblings are left for me to find, so, so far, one down maybe fifty more to go? God, I hope not.

I glance over at the time and see it's 6:20, I have 10 minutes! I'll write to Laura later, right now, I have to get ready. I take a quick shower, brush my teeth, and put on my clothes. I start looking for the Captain, who I find in the eating area.

"Hello Captain!" I yell, walking over to him, he's grabbing food.

"Hello Skylar." He nods. "Alyssa did tell you! Good, come on grab some breakfast and we can talk at one of the tables while everyone else is getting settled."

"No thanks." I shake my head. "I don't feel like getting breakfast, but I will talk to you, for whatever reason you've got."

"Okay..." He says. "But, I'm just saying, I've heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day."

"I'll be fine." I roll my eyes, as we walk towards the table, while people who are early look at us.

We sit down and the Captain starts eating, as I just look at him, waiting for him to speak up. He doesn't, so I decide to do that myself.

"So, you call me to talk, yet the only thing I hear coming from your mouth is chewing of food." I say.

"Yes, sorry." He says, wiping his mouth with a napkin. "Look, I know you're mad at me for just now telling you you had siblings, but I'm hoping we can go past that?"
