Lili's P.O.V.

His blue eyes locked with mine, and I froze in my place, mind going blank. Then his hand reached for my face, caressing it, as he pulled me into a sweet yet savoury kiss.

Every scrap of me had been yearning for this, just waiting for this moment, and now it was here. I had been craving his soft yet electrifying touch for so long.

Our lips moved in perfect sync, tongues gliding, exploring.

Then—

"Cut!" The director yelled.

Cole pulled away and smiled at me, blue eyes gleaming, as always. I smiled back at him. It was impossible not to—his smile was too compelling, too mesmerizing.

"That's a wrap on today!" Roberto called. "Good job everyone!"

Cole and I walked back to the break room where the rest of the main cast was, except KJ, Cami, and Mads.

Then the three of them came in the door behind us.

"Lili!" Cami said. "Cole! You guys did great!"

"Thanks," we both replied.

"A little too great if you ask me," she whispered into my ear.

Blush creeped throughout my cheeks and neck as a shy smile spread across my face.

"Cami, stop," I whispered. "We're just friends."

"That's what they all say. Besides, you're blushing like crazy. Lils, you're even redder than the tomatoes I had in my salad earlier."

"N-no I'm not," I stammered awkwardly.

"You guys talking about Lole?" Mads asked, leaning into our conversation.

"Lole?" Cami and I questioned in unison.

"Lili and Cole," Madelaine said. "Duh, that's their ship name."

"We'll work on it," Cami whispered.

"No, you won't," I said. "We don't need a ship name."

"Except, yes you do. I swear you guys are perfect for each other." A wicked grin spread across Mads's face.

"Cili?" Cami blurted. "No, that's even worse. What about your middle names?"

"Nope. No ship names."

"Yeah, that would be bad," Mads stated.

"Thank you," I sighed.

"Pitchell and Mauline don't work. What about their last names?"

I rolled my eyes and began walking away when Cami suddenly shouted, "Ooh, I know! Sprousehart!"

I froze in place, all blood draining from my face, causing me to perfectly resemble a ghost.

"What?" Cole and KJ said.

"What's Sprousehart?" Casey and Ashleigh asked.

Mads and Cami exchanged a look as I turned back around to glare at them.

"Nothing," Cami said. "It's absolutely nothing. C'mon, Lils, Mads, lets go get some coffee and hot chocolate."

As I made my towards the door the two had already exited through, Cole's gaze shifted my way and he snatched my arm.

"Lils, are you okay?" he whispered.

His tone was so soft and comforting that I started to relax. I dropped my tense shoulders and nodded contently as he pulled me to his chest, wrapping his arms around me in a hug.

"Are you sure?" his breathe whispered into my ear.

"It's okay, Cole. I'm fine."

He nodded and rubbed my back, comforting me some more, before pulling away and letting me follow my two friends who were probably long gone by now.

Once we arrived at the coffee shop and ordered our drinks—an almond milk latte each for Cami and Mads, and a hot chocolate for me—they immediately brought up the idea of Cole and I again.

"Why do you even ship us?" I asked. "Is it just because our characters on Riverdale are dating?"

"No, not that," Cami said. "It's the way you act around each other. Let's be honest here, when you and Cole are kissing on set, you're not acting; you just get really into it."

"Agreed," Mads said, sipping her coffee. "Cami's right. You're a good actor, Lili, but that's not acting. It's real passion and lust."

"Oh my god," I said, throwing up my hands. "That's enough, you guys."

"Alright, fine, we'll stop talking about it," Cami said.

"Thank you."

"For now."

I rolled my eyes as the two girls laughed and high-fived.

Once we finished our drinks, we got into Madelaine's car and she drove back to our cluster of trailers. She parked her car in the parking lot nearby and we all walked back to our own trailers, calling out our good-nights to each other as we walked further and further away from each other.

When I got my trailer door shut, I immediately collapsed onto my bed, beyond exhausted.

I had just started settling in when my phone rang. Annoyed, I sat up and checked the screen. It was Cole.

This confused me, because Cole never called when he knew I'd be asleep. That meant something was wrong. Really wrong.

I worriedly pressed accept and put the phone to my ear.

"Cole?" I said, my voice still tired and weak. "What is it?"

"Lili."

His voice was croaky and wet, like he'd been crying for hours on end, so much he'd lost his voice. My heart sped up and the worrisome feeling in the pit of my stomach was growing by the second.

"Cole, whats wrong? Are you okay?"

"Can you come over?"

A/N
Bad way to end the chapter, I know. And I probably got a lot of details wrong but I don't really know what the behind the scenes and stuff looks like so I'm just going off of what I know. I hope you like this so far, and I'm gonna try to make other chapters a bit longer and more interesting.
Love you all 💝
