Hi guys, sorry it's been so long. I've been ill again, strep throat this time, ahaha. Hm, I need to go and watch Dracula Untold, anybody seen it yet? I went and watched The Maze Runner today, and let me tell you it was AWESOME. A great adapation from the book. Sure, there's a few things missed out but there always is, but yeah it was very faithful. So proud of Dylan O'Brien also!  Just telling you all my life story, please enjoy. lol. Sorry this one is short, but it's really just a small-ish chapter leading in to next chapters dramatics!

I can’t find it anywhere! Where could it be? This isn’t Toy Story, for God’s sake; things don’t just suddenly come to life and have a mind of their own. But where could it be, I know I haven’t touched it and neither has Chase. Unless he’s used some freaky spirit magic or teleportation to magically get it to him in a jail cell.

“Asher!” I yell. “Asher!”

My door flings open and a second later I hear a grunt. “What? Who died?” he grunts out. “Shit, I didn’t mean that…”

I stand up and roll my eyes. “Asher, stop trying to sensor your mouth around me, it’s not going to work and I don’t want it to,” I snap, sitting on the end of my bed in defeat, “Now do you know where my picture of me from bonfire night went? I can’t find it anywhere and I need it for a birthday present I’m making Nate.”

Asher shakes his head, brushing his hair away from his forehead and out of his eyes. He walks over to me and plops down next to me on my bed, lying down. “Haven’t seen it,” he says, “It was here the day before yesterday, and I saw it when I came in to borrow your phone charger, but I haven’t seen it since then.”

“Well that’s not weird,” I groan, lying down next to him, “How does a picture go missing? Nate hasn’t taken it either, I’ve already asked him.”

“Don’t know then, maybe the cleaner or something came in and moved it by accident?” Asher suggests, his eyes fluttering closed. I knew he used to sleep a lot, but ever since this Chase going to jail thing he’s either asleep or obsessing over some way to get him out or distracting himself with mindless activities like the playstation. My life hadn’t been the easiest, but it definitely did not seem easy for Asher.

I shake my head. “No, we don’t have a cleaner, we have a janitor. He does come in sometimes for general maintence, but I don’t see why he’d be in my room.”

“Don’t know then,” Asher mumbles, “Maybe you misplaced it by accident.”

I most definitely did not misplace that by accident. It was on my bed side table day before last, sitting in the same spot it had been since I had arrived.“Maybe,” I murmur, “maybe.”

I couldn’t resist Harley any longer. Ever since I had stolen that picture of her from her bed side table, she had been calling out for me to come to her. She was like a siren, beckoning me to her, a spider trapping a fly into its web. I couldn’t wait to finally get Harley and be with her. It had all been put into place, the boyfriend out of the picture, the brother and the best friend distracted with some dead ended leads, and I was ready to take what was mine.

Harley was mine, and soon she’d know it. Not that boy Chase’s, but mine. I’d love her more than he ever would. She might be upset at first, angry even, but she would come to terms with it all. Murdering that girl, getting rid of Chase, was all for her and Harley would love me for it. We’d become partners in crime.

Just because my plan had worked perfectly, doesn’t mean I can throw it all away by making a stupid mistake. Pulling on my black gloves, I check my bag for everything that I need. Once this is done, I need my plan to stay in place. I can’t have them looking for Harley and me after we go on the run, I need them to stay here and charge Chase with murder and accuse him of being involved in the disappearance of Harley.

Nobody will suspect me.

Nobody will find us.

In just a few short hours, I would have grabbed Harley and she will be mine.

Picking up the bag, I zip it up and put the strap over my shoulder. Everything I’ve worked for will come to an end today. But this isn’t the end, this is the start of my new beginning – the one I am going to have with Harley.
