Bailey's PoV

Standing on the field during Gym, I watch as all the athletic goons hype themselves up, my eyesight moving over to Liam who's stood talking with two girls, tucking my hands into my pockets I lean forward, closing my eyes to avoid any form of contact with the students of Stilton "Bailey" snapping my eyes open I clench my jaw to avoid barking at whomever is disturbing me, holding myself back as I stare at Liam I exhale heavily "Shouldn't you be playing baseball with the other students." I mumble, watching him scoff he points to me "I could say the same about you" he hums, humming I fold my arms over my chest "Me? Play baseball, that wouldn't be fair on them." I murmur, hearing him laugh he shakes his head "Go on. I bet they can thrash you." He says, staring at him I smirk "Alright" I breath.

Picking the baseball bat up I swing it around my wrist as the students glance to me "Look, the loner is playing!" One of them shouts, walking towards the home, I dig my heels into the ground, closing my eyes to concentrate, I hear a few students laugh, clenching my hands around the handle of the bat, I hear the bowler raise her leg, listening to the ball glide through the air, I swing my bat back before connecting it to the ball, the connection causing a loud and deafening bang sending the ball high up into the air, dropping the bat I push off into a sprint, rounding the pitch entirely before diving into home and scoring us a point, the students cheering whilst some stand staring in shock.

Walking over to Liam who's staring in utter disbelief, I smile "Were in a fake world, Liam, baseball is easy" I hum as I lean forward, he shakes his head and hits my arm "Cheat." He growls, laughing I tuck my hands into my pockets as I walk over to the bench "advantages." I murmur.

Standing in the hallway of the school, my hand wrapped around my rucksacks strap, looking to the side at Liam who's stood talking to a group of people, I clench my jaw 'idiot..' shaking my head I go to walk away but stop as I feel an usual presence, looking over my shoulder at a small black haired girl, scowling as she approaches Liam I go to walk towards her but stop as a sharp pain spreads throughout my abdomen "Crap.." I growl as I hunch over "Bailey, you okay?" Looking up at Liam, I laugh 'smart boy..' falling to my knee I snake my arm around my waist in hopes it'll somehow soothe the pain that's prominent near my intestines "Bailey!" He shouts as he grabs my arm I wince.

Opening my eyes I stare at the ceiling, looking around my bedroom, I scowl as I watch the door open and Liam walk in with arms full of different supplies "Why are you in my room?" I ask, watching him drop the supplies on my bed I sit up "Don't sit up" He says before pushing me back down "I'm fine Liam" I say sternly, looking around anxiously for any signs of my 'parents' "You passed out" he retaliates, standing I look outside "Listen, Liam, you gotta go" I grumble, grabbing his bag and strapping it onto him he looks at me with furrowed brows "Something your hiding?" He asks, shaking my head I open the front door, quickly shutting it as a red car pulls up into my driveway "Dammit" I growl, Liam's confusion radiating off of him like heat off of a stove "You gotta go out the back door" I mumble as I push him to the back he moved away from me "Tell me why your so anxious." He says, exhaling I close my eyes "Listen Liam just go" I growl, watching him stare at me he grabs his bag "I see." He says before walking out.

Walking into school the next day, my hair covering my eyes to avoid contact with any other 'students' looking up at Liam who's talking with four people, he looks at me and scowls "Great." I grumble, walking towards my locker, I tuck my bag into it lazily, feeling someone push me, i don't move an inch as I look down at Liam who's growling, grabbing his collar I push him into an empty classroom "I thought we were getting somewhere! That you was learning to accept me!" He shouts, sighing I shake my head "When I tell you to get out of my house, I don't want to be pressured into telling people why." I retaliate, watching him wave his arms he groans "Why do you have to act so tough all the time!" He shouts, leaning back I exhale, closing my eyes "Because it's all I know!" I shout, completely unaware of the fact my eyes have shaded into a dark black, Liam stares at me, turning I walk out of the empty classroom silently.

Feeling the red light of the photography room cover my body, my shirt stuck to my skin like glue, I glance out the corner of my eye at the teachers whose bodies are glitching ever so slightly "You see that?" Looking up at a tall broad brown haired male who's printing photos next to me "I'm sorry?" I ask, watching him point to the teachers he shakes his head "This world isn't real. These people, aren't real." He grumbles, staring at him I scowl "you know?" I ask, watching him nod I exhale "It's hard not to, but you can tell a realist from miles away, the whole fish out of water look and the separation of society really shows it all off." He explains as he gestures to me I clench my jaw to avoid snapping at him "And what do they call you?" I ask, hearing him laugh he leans on the desk "Mark Samuels, pleased to meet ya" He smiles as he offers his hand out, shaking it reluctantly I scowl "Bailey Ve-" I begin, watching him sit upright he looks serious now "Bailey Ventura, I know, all of the realists do." He whispers, looking to the side at Liam who's just entered He scowls at me "Why." I growl, watching him look to the side he tilts his head up "The realist who isn't human, who wouldn't know." He mumbles, my heart stopping as my throat tightens.

Feeling a sudden rush of air flow through my body, I open my eyes within seconds of inhaling, my jaw forced shut by wires, glancing around a blue lighten room, people hung up by wires and tubes connected to their brains and necks, lifting my hand I wrap it around the wires and tubes, ripping them out of their sockets as I fall to my knees, gasping for air desperately as I curl over "The experiment is going how we expected it to." Hearing a deep stern voice I stumble to my feet, hiding behind a wall I squint as two males wander into the room with clipboards and one taller male with a gun "Jordan, we must...-" the woman scientist mumbles, watching the man with the gun snap his head around he clenches his jaw visibly "If your not going to help than you can just go!" He shouts, causing the other two scientists to flinch "we'll help..." the male says confidently, causing the man with the gun, Jordan, to smile with happiness "See, all you needed was a bit of pushing." He says, his eyes moving over to me, I duck down at record breaking time "I want constant check backs on how the specimens are doing. Nothing can go wrong." He says as he exits the room with the scientists, I exhale.

Walking through the hallways of people in the blue room, I spot Liam hanging soundlessly beside two randomers, running up to him I pull the tubes and wires out of his Brian and neck, covering them with plasters beside his station before he awakens and stares up at me "Bailey..?"  He asks, putting my index finger over my lips he scowls as he looks around "I woke up somehow..." I murmur, watching him nod he sits up and looks down at his naked torso, quickly covering himself up I stand "We have to get out of here... it's way too dangerous" I mumble, watching as he nods he stands "there's thousands of people here.." he murmurs, shaking my head I grab his wrist "we'll save them later, from what I heard from this Jordan guy, they won't be disrupting anything yet." I say as I pull him towards the exit, he grabs my hand as we leave the room.
