"Do I look okay?" Peggy asks.

When does she not?

She's wearing short black shorts, black knee highs, red converse high tops, and a white crop top with 'CLIFFORD' and '95' on the back of it.

I'm wearing black skinny jeans, a red cropped tank top, and black heeled booties.

We take a few pictures and head out to the Uber Peggy called for us.

We get to the Staples Center and head backstage to see the boys.

Calum hugs me.

"You're sure you don't want to be back here?" He asks.

I shake my head.

"No, I want to be in the audience." I tell him.

He nods.

"Break a leg guys." Peggy says.

We get into a group before Peggy and I go out to the audience.

The stadium is almost completely full when the lights dim.

And even though I've met them and hung out with them on so many occasions, this is surreal.

It's the first time I'm seeing my heroes perform.

When they shoot up from the middle of the floor, I start screaming.

Michael starts laughing.

"Wait! Wait!" He says breathlessly.

Everyone gets quiet.

"Okay, hello! You all look beautiful!" He screams.

Everyone gets loud again.

"But we've got this friend. She's in the front row. And she's fangirling as hard as you all are."

Everyone screams again.

"Anyway, this is What I Like About You- all of you!"

God help me.

I'm hoarse by the time they finish three songs.

"Thank you all for being here! This is ridiculous!" Ashton yells.

"Yeah! You guys are loud!" Luke yells.

Somehow we manage to get louder than before.

"So, this song is my favorite personally, and I know it means a lot to Calum. Right, mate?" Ash puts him on the spot.

Calum looks at his feet and shuffles them back and forth, like he always does when he's nervous.

He finally looks up.

At me.

"Yeah. This song is dedicated to someone who basically lives in my brain. This is Voodoo Doll."

My heart stops.

-

We all go out to dinner after the concert.

I talk mostly to Michael, which is new for me.

But I can tell Peggy is really into him.

"I'll be right back. I'm going to the little boys' room." Calum gets up and jogs to the back of the restaurant.

Except he doesn't come back.

I stand up to leave.

"Caro, don't do this." Peggy grabs my arm.

"No. I'm over it. I'll see you guys later. Amazing job tonight." I wave to all of them and head outside.

It's cold.

Peggy runs up by my side.

"You're never alone, okay? I'm always here." She grabs my hand.

We get a cab and go home.

I'm laying in my bed, sketching, when there's a knock on my door.

"I swear to God, Calum-"

I swing the door open and see a bloody Cal.

"Hey." He says, his voice nasally.

"What the hell happened to you?" I ask as I let him inside.

"Luke beat the shit out of me."

"Calum!"

"No, he didn't really. He just got me in the nose."

I make him sit on the counter.

"What happened?" I ask as I dampen a towel.

"I don't wanna talk about it. Uh...could I stay here tonight? I know you're probably mad at me for leaving. I can take the couch-"

"Yes, I'm mad. But you can sleep in my bed."

I hand him the towel and go to the bathroom to get a tampon.

"Whoa, what's that?" He scoots away from me.

"What does it look like, idiot?" I ask him.

"Some kind of death plug." He says with his famous pout and wide eyes.

Damn, he's adorable.

I can't help but laugh.

"It's a tampon. Stay still."

He screams when I insert it, but he calms down after a while.

"Do I have to sleep with this in?" He asks.

"After I take a picture."

I whip out my phone and snap a picture.

He jumps off of the counter and grabs me from behind.

I squeal, forgetting that Peggy is probably sleeping.

I shove Calum's chest and forget how useless my force is against him.

"This is revenge for you always being an asshole. I'm sleepy." I say as I skip to my room.

He follows me and flops down on the bed.

"Sketching again? You know I'm really proud of you." He looks up at me.

I smile and curl up in my spot next to him.

"Thank you."

He bites his lip and flips through the book.

And I fall asleep staring at him.
