"Baby, it's time to get up."

Kaycee shook her head, wanting to stay in his arms for as long as she could.

"Come on, I wanna go get breakfast," he said, immediately gaining Kaycee's attention. She sat up, smiling at him.

"Where?" she asked, sending Sean into a laughing fit.

"Why did you only decide to get up when I mentioned getting breakfast?"

Kaycee shrugged. "I'm hungry," she said. "Now, where?"

He sat up with her, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "I'm craving bagels. What about you?"

"A french toast bagel with cream cheese sounds so good right now," she mumbled, closing her eyes as she let his fingers trace her skin softly.

"With a strawberry banana smoothie, baby?" he hummed, seeing her smile and nod. "Come on, let's get ready."

Getting ready meant they brushed their teeth and put on hoodies, slipping on their shoes before heading out the door. Once in his car, Kaycee took control of the aux, blasting their favorite songs.

They arrived at the bagel shop, ordering their food — which Sean insisted he pay for — and went back to the car, taking it to go.

"Can we stop by the store?" Kaycee asked suddenly. "I gotta pee."

Sean laughed, nodding as he pulled into the nearest Target parking lot.

"Do you want me to come in the store with you?" he asked, and she nodded.

"Please," she said, as the two got out of the car and headed inside. He held onto her hand until they found the nearest restrooms and she went in, leaving him waiting down the hall.

Sean pulled out his phone, leaning against the wall by the front entrance until he heard his name being called by a familiar voice.

"What is up, my boy!" Jon shouted, immediately coming into view of Sean. "Been a few days since I've heard from ya, how have you been?"

"Good," Sean replied, pushing his phone back into his pocket. "How are you?"

"Living my best life, man," Jon answered, visibly stoned out of his mind.

Sean leaned back, crossing his arms. "Good, that's good," he said, beginning to feel the discomfort as Kaycee was soon by his side.

"Hi," Kaycee said to him, holding onto Sean's hand.

Jon smiled, reaching out for a hug. Kaycee gave him a half-assed side hug, clearly irritated. They could both smell the pot, and it bugged them.

"How have you been, miss Kaycee?" Jon asked, a smirk on his face.

"Fine," she answered bluntly, squeezing Sean's hand. She smiled at Jon, trying to keep the peace despite her inner self wanting to walk away in anger.

"I'm having a party tonight, you two should come!" Jon said excitedly. "It's been too long since you both came over."

Sean shook his head, "We have a class tonight, we can't."

"Class?" he asked, then a sudden realization came to him. "Oh yeah, I almost forgot you're a dancer. Haven't seen you do much with that lately."

His words hit Sean right in the gut — making him instantly feel sick. The worst part is that he was right. Sean hadn't gone to classes much. He hadn't been dancing in his garage, and he most definitely had been letting Kaycee take the lead in choreographing the piece for their partner class.
