It was a few days since the beginning of the school year and everything seemed to be at ease.  School was relatively basic but the combat classes were your favorite.  You loved how Silver was being a big man early on but soon has learned to respect you.  Currently, you were sharpening your blade along a rock in nothing but your pants, letting your scars get aired out.  You took in a deep breath and cracked your back after sheathing your blade.

You were alone in the room since the rest of the guys went out for training.  While you would have loved to have gone, that would have made more than six hours of training back-to-back.  You dropped to the ground and began to do a few push-ups in the middle of the room, getting some sweat building.  You were on push-up 120 in less than 5 minutes when the door knocked.  You rolled your eyes, assuming they forgot the keys to the room.

You got up and opened up the door only to see Pyrrha standing before you.

(Y/N): Pyrrha?  Uh, hey.  What are you doing here?

Pyrrha: Just wanted to see if you were alright tonight?

(Y/N): I'm fine.  Why?

Pyrrha: It was just...you suffered a hit earlier today and I wanted to make sure you were alright.

It was true.  You and your team had a fight against CRDL today.  Cardin was able to land a mean hit to your forehead, almost knocking you out.  Almost.  You proceeded to throw him into the wall.  You rubbed your forehead where the hit landed and gave Pyrrha a smile.

(Y/N): Yeah.  Just fine.  Don't worry about it.

Pyrrha: (Y/N), I'm serious.  At least let me check.

(Y/N): Since when do you care if I get injured?  You didn't care back in Mistral.

Pyrrha: (Y/N) I...I'm...

You could see Pyrrha look saddened.  You sighed and pinched the bridge of your nose.  You winced a bit just to amuse Pyrrha.

(Y/N): Ok.  I guess it wouldn't hurt?

That got Pyrrha to smile and give you a warm look.  You guided her into the room and sat down on your bed while she got a look at the injury.  While she was, she began to hum the familiar tune that she sung back at Sanctum.  You rolled your eyes a bit.

(Y/N): You love that ballad, huh?

Pyrrha: My mother used to sing it a lot.  It would always calm my nerves.  I guess the same could be said for you.

(Y/N): I guess so.  What did she call it?

Pyrrha: She never gave it a name.  She just sang it and once I was calm, she stopped.

(Y/N): Huh.

Pyrrha stood up and gave a smile.

Pyrrha: It looks like everything is in order.  I would try to relax this evening.

(Y/N): Noted.  Got any method for that?

Pyrrha: I think I may have a way.  Come with me.

So, you followed Pyrrha out of the dorms and up to the rooftops of the building.  You took in a deep breath as you admired the surroundings of the school.  You turned back to look at Pyrrha and offer her some sort of thank you.  However, once you did, you saw her in the moonlight.  The light was able to reflect perfectly off of her hair and projected it out to you.

To you, Pyrrha looked absolutely beautiful in every sense of the word.  If there was anything that could amplify it, it was definitely the moonlight.

(Y/N): Wow...

Pyrrha: I know.  Jaune and I come up here often.

You blushed a bit, believing that she just admitted to dating her leader.  Deciding to press the interrogation, you smirked and walked over to her.
(Y/N): So, you and Blondie?  How's that turning out?  Good at what he does?

Pyrrha: Yes.  He is a formidable leader.  Not the best of fighters which is why we are training everyday up here.

(Y/N): Training?  Is that what you call dates now?

Pyrrha: Dates?!  No!  No, no, no, no!  Jaune is my leader.  I'm just making sure that he-(Y/N), are you jealous of Jaune for some reason?

You blushed and rubbed the back of your neck.  Were you actually getting jealous of a bumbling idiot?  Maybe?  Still, Pyrrha was standing there with a questioning look to her face and a small hint of a smirk.  God, you loved that smirk.  It was cute but also kinda-focus (Y/N)!

(Y/N): Well, um, you see, if that was the case, then clearly I too, am an idiot.  After, why need to be jealous when you're at the top, am I right?  No reason to worry.

Pyrrha: Yeah.  The top.

You could hear the sadness within her voice.  You didn't know what else to do.  You slowly walked over to her and reached out your hand to her.

(Y/N): Pyrrha?  Is everything ok?

Pyrrha: Yes!  Of course!  Everything is just A-OK!

(Y/N): Pyrrha!  I'm serious!

Pyrrha: When have you care?  I thought being at the top meant you weren't supposed to.

(Y/N): Oh come on, Pyrrha!  That's not what I meant at all!

Pyrrha: Then what did you mean?!

(Y/N): What did you think I meant?!  Pyrrha, we're rivals!  We're supposed to be at each other's throats.  I thought you wanted to defend your title as the best!  Why do you think I'm always trying to one up you?  Be better than you?!

Pyrrha: So is that all?!  Is that all this is to you?!  Some sort of competition where if I get hurt or killed you get to finally beat me?!

(Y/N): No, Pyrrha!  That's not what I-I mean that-

Pyrrha: I thought we were friends?!

(Y/N): We are!  Just with a friendly rivalry that-

Pyrrha: Is the only thing you care about!

(Y/N): You know that's not true!  I care about you-so much!  And I care about being number 1.

Pyrrha: So if I jumped off of this roof right now, would you care?!

That is what made you silent.  Was she actually considering that?  The drop was a big one, but with both your auras full, you would most likely survive.  But this was Pyrrha we were talking about!  You reached out slightly to her, implying you were there to support her.

(Y/N): I saved you during the initiation!  I can-I can-damnit Pyrrha what are you talking about?!  Of course I care about you!  We all care about you!  You're our friend!

Pyrrha: Prove it to me!

(Y/N): Pyrrha, you're acting insane.  Look, we can just drop this here.  Let's go to the cafeteria, grab some drinks and talk about it there.

Pyrrha: We need to talk about it here and now!

(Y/N): Pyrrha!

Pyrrha: Damnit (Y/N)!  Just tell me!  What do you care more about?!  This rivalry or ME?!

Just thinking about, the thoughts ran through your head.  You cared so much about Pyrrha.  She was one of your closest friends.  Yet...your father needed the money.  And getting on top meant that you could support him...and Pyrrha.  You needed the money.  But you wanted Pyrrha.

Pyrrha: That's what I thought.

Pyrrha walked over to the edge of the building and began to lean off of it, almost falling.  You just sprung into action and wrapped your arm around Pyrrha and threw her back onto the roof.  However, your footing got you to fall off of the roof.

And like that, you began to fall six stories off down towards the ground.  The last thing you heard was your name being screamed by Pyrrha.  Then black.
