Y/N Kaspbrak sat in her bedroom, procrastinating on during her summer essay until she felt the need of a fruity drink. She sat up from her bed and set down her pencil and paper before opening her door and hearing multiple boys in the house. Y/N assumed that it was her brother, Eddie, with his friends that Y/N was acquaintances with. She always got along with the three boys but one not so much. It wasn't that he was mean or anything, it was because he was, well, over the top with his comments.
"Yeah, I'm saving these for your sister," Eddie's high pitched voice squeaked out as Y/N entered the kitchen. "Saving what?" Y/N asked, opening the fridge and getting out the apple juice to see all the boys staring at her. "N-N-Nothing," Eddie stuttered out, sounding like Bill before getting more stuff from the pantry. "Okay." Y/N walked over to the cabinet where the cups were stored before looking at Richie, who was staring her up and down.
"What do you want Richie?" Y/N asked as she struggled to get the cup from the cabinet. "I just wanted to tell you that you have a nice as-" "Shut up, Richie," Eddie interrupted Richie by whisper yelling, making Y/N confused but ultimately shrugging it off. "So where are you guys going," Y/N asked, pouring the juice into the cup and taking one big gulp before Bill answered, "T-The b-b-barren's." She shook her head, acknowledging she heard the boy before hopping onto the kitchen counter. "Why the barrens?" Suddenly Bill's face went to fine to complete sadness, as Eddie was behind him shaking his hand over his throat, signaling shut up or you'll make it even more awkward.
Y/N's mouth curved into an 'o', realizing what topic she had just brought up before hoping off the kitchen counter. "Well have fun breathing in shit," Y/N smiled before walking back to her room, feeling guilty that she brought up the topic. Y/N wasn't that close to the boys, but she was comfortable enough to joke and hang out with them occasionally. Each one of the boys had something in common with Y/N, which made it easier to get along with them but kind of hard at the same time considering that Eddie was older and overprotective.
He was only older by two minutes the most and he thought he was the superior sibling because of it. It didn't bother Y/N that much but sometimes she could be having a conversation with one of his friends and drag her away like she was a puppy on a leash. Especially when she talked to Richie. The moment he ever caught them talking, he would stand in the middle and supervise the conversation like he was a father, looking out the window when his daughter just went out on a date. In that situation it bothered Y/N a lot because the two had the most in common and she felt like she was sheltered. Of course she knew what crude jokes meant when Richie said them but I guess Eddie still thought Y/N was innocent, or was it something more?
