The next few days felt unreal.

It was Friday, so they had no other obligations than to lay in bed all day, soaking up eachothers comfort and admiration. They spent the night at Sean's last night, when no one was home and rehearsed for hours on end. Their first collab partner class was coming up in a few weeks, which motivated them to finish their piece.

"Can we have lunch?" Kaycee asked, after an hour of non stop practicing. They had to be able to do every move in their sleep in order to teach it to a class.

Sean nodded, kissing her cheek. "I'll make us something, baby."

She followed him into the kitchen, and sat down at the counter, watching him search through his fridge.

"Hey baby," she said, setting her phone down as he turned to look at her. "I think we should tell our families."

"You think so?" he asked, resting his forearms on the counter. "Are you ready to?"

She nodded. "I want to tell my parents. I want our friends to know."

"So do I," Sean agreed. He went up to her and stood in between her legs, his hands locking behind the small of her back. "But before we do that, we need to do something else."

"Like what?" she asked in confusion.

"Let me take you out on a real date, Kayc," he suggested, making her smile. "I know you've never been on one, and if you're going to be my girlfriend, I need to treat you the way you deserve, and you deserve a first date."

"You'd do that for me?" she asked, bringing her hands to his cheeks as he nodded. "Sean, yes. Yes, I'll go on a date with you."

Sean kissed her, simple and sweet, before starting to make them lunch again.

They sat together on the couch, eating sandwiches he made for them and watching shows. Once it hit four pm, Kaycee decided to go home and get ready.

"Should I meet you back here tonight?" she asked, as she was getting into her car.

He shook his head. "I'm picking you up, at 6."

"You don't have to come all the way over just to pick me up, Sean."

"Yes I do," he smiled. "Let me pick you up. I have it all planned out in my head. All you have to do is dress nice."

"And what do I tell my parents?" she asked. "They'll ask, you know they will."

"Say we're going on a date," he winked. "Simple. They'll figure out the rest."

She kissed him goodbye, agreeing to their plan as she backed out of the driveway and went home. Her parents were both there along with Kylie, but Devon was off at work as far as she knew.

"Hey," Kylie smiled at her as she walked in the front door.

"We were just getting ready for dinner," Laura said. "Are you joining us?"

Kaycee shook her head. "I can't."

"Why's that?"

She took a deep breath. "I uh, have a date."

The three stopped, mouths gaping open at the announcement.

"With whom?" Brad asked, crossing his arms. She could tell he was serious — especially when Laura lightly hit his arms.

"Brad," she exclaimed, looking back at her daughter with a smile. "Who is it, honey? Do we know him, or her?"

Kylie stayed silent, sitting down as she smirked at her little sister, knowing damn well who it was.
